  5. Rory McIlroy is the clubhouse leader at -7.
  6. ASTROS WIN!!!  ASTROS WIN!!!  Fernando Abad goes 1 1/3 for the win.  Brandon Lyon pitches the 9th and gets the save.
  7. Astros push one across in the Top of the 9th with a Matt Downs double which scored Brett Wallace. After 8 1/2, Astros lead 3-2.
  8. Here are the LC-M members of that team: [Hidden Content] Congratulations to these ladies and all of those who made the team.
  9. They are in the Top of the 9th, score still tied at 2.
  10. Lets look at the other candidates, starting with Minnesota: Football - Were the Buffalo Bills before the Bills were cool; Late GM Mike Lynn voted team MVP in 1992-1995, the Cowboys team MVP that is Baseball - This is where Minnesota drops from the worst, they do have a couple of World Championships during my lifetime Basketball - Lost the Lakers to LA, wishes they could lose current team to LA Hockey - My favorite NHL team, the Dallas Stars
  11. After 7 1/2, game tied at 2.  Astros leave 2 on in the Top of the 8th
  12. Cleveland is the worst- Football - lost the Browns to Baltimore and current Browns stink Baseball - Indians are so bad that 2 very bad sports movies have been made about them Basketball - Cavs, LeBron, Gilbert, 'nough said Yep, as bad as Houston has it (and it is bad), Cleveland is worse
  13. After 7 complete, game is tied at 2.  Astros and Myers did have a 2-1 lead going into the bottom of the inning but Rolen hit a pinch hit bomb. The Reds are now into the Astros bullpen, PRAY HARD!
  14. They are currently tied 2-2 in the Bottom of the 7th
  15. Well, I did not see a list of the applicants.  So I don't know if Coach Valastro applied or interviewed for the job.  But I do know that he is not one of the finalists.  Toby Foreman from WO-S is: [Hidden Content]
  16. Here is what the Astros have to shoot for this season: [Hidden Content]
  17. PM19, I don't know that they'll go 0-162, but they sure will make a good run at 100 losses this year.
  18. Here's my question.  If the umpire was so convinced that this was an intentional act, why didn't he toss Smith as well? I mean, looking at Lance's video this was not a pitch that was a strike or even just high that got past Babs. Here is what happened, the guy got nailed and lashed out at the first thing he saw, which just happened to be Anthony Babino.
  19. 0-5, but I guess you should expect that when your batting .215 as a team and the team ERA is 7.79. We could be seeing history in the making, here.
  20. Well, while the talk of 6 man is interesting (I know, I started it), I don't think that we will see Burkeville dropping from the 11 man ranks.  Yes, they may be losing a lot of seniors, but I am sure that the junior class does possess some males and like many times at 1A schools, young men from all grades will be counted on to continue. IF they do decide to go the 6 man route, it would NOT be the first time that Burkeville was in the 6 man ranks.  From 1943-1969, Burkeville competed in six man football.
  21. Although I fear that having two assistants apply for the head coach job will create some hard feelings, I would hope that neither Cornel Thompson nor Toby Foreman is demonized in this process. I think I have made crystal clear that I think Cornel Thompson should be the next head football coach at West Orange-Stark and feel just as strongly about that today as ever.  However, one thing that I refuse to do is to BLAME Toby Foreman for desiring and seeking the head coaching position.  He has committed no crime in doing so.  What he has done is to merely covet this job in the school district in which he grew up and has spent nearly all of his professional life, much like Cornel himself.  That he has decided to put his hat in the ring does not make him any less of a good man than when he was merely Dan Hooks' offensive coordinator.  I certainly hope that he has not received undue grief from the community because of his decision to apply for the job and I hope that this process doesn't leave a bitter taste in his mouth about his school if he doesn't get the job.
