  1. Apparently it is 3 up for re-election and according to a reporter from DMN, 2 of those are Peterman supporters and are not favored to keep their seats.. If that is the case, we might just have the reason that no action was taken THIS month.
  2. You probably know this better than I do, but doesn't the Texas Slam facility have softball facilities as well?
  3. From what I have been able to gather, the views of those members of the school board (if they vote that way) that want him out do not reflect the community.
  4. True, but everyone, well in the State now, knows that Peterman's contract renewal is being considered in that executive session. If they do not announce any action, that equals no renewal and a hot time in the DFDub tonight.

  9. They are about to move to executive session. The board president just stated that it will probably be "lengthy."
  10. The reason being bandied about has NOTHING to do with job performance. It is alleged by some in the community that some of the board members no longer want a white head coach for the predominately black De Soto High.
  11. A board meeting is underway where the De Soto ISD, 2016 6A, DII State Champion, is supposedly going to announce that they will not renew the contract of Coach Petermans, the coach that led them to the state title. Watching the meeting now...they haven't gotten to that point yet.
  12. From Matt Steppe's tweets, it appears that De Soto is trying to pull a Jasper on its state championship winning coach, Todd Peterman. A board meeting is currently underway.
