  5. I checked their website and the rosters have not been posted yet.
  6. I have to correct myself, that board member that I was referencing is no longer on the Board of Trustees.
  7. There is one member of the WO-C CISD board that does think the way (and there are others in a clique of "community leaders" that do as well). Fortunately, he is but one and is thus in the very small minority. The current make up the board, which does include some folks who frequent this board as well as other city leaders who have the utmost respect for Coach Thompson, would prevent a De Soto ISD-type circus from happening in Orange.
  8. I prefer this one: [Hidden Content] Coach Hicks is much more diligent and quicker to update than MaxPreps.
  9. The coaches who applied probably think that they can do no worse than previous coaches. Also, Baytown is a growing city, and even though I kidded with the Baytown folks in another thread, a very nice place to live. It looks like many folks who applied have some sort of connection to Baytown and/or Lee High, so they want to be the one who restores Lee back to its glory days under Dick Olin. And yeah, $98,000/year for a non-AD position doesn't hurt the argument for moving to Baytown.
  10. Sorry, all you get out of the move is a small and slow guy who graduated from WO-S back in the 1980's.
  11. We'll revisit that in the next few months, but no guarantee.
  12. And in answer to the question, yes, they were again on April 25th. But these two games are a celebration of the strength of this district. The top two teams in the district separated by two runs. It is a baseball purist's (which most of us declare ourselves to be) dream. So the best of luck to the Tigers until we meet again (which contrary to the claims of others in the region will also occur this season)!
  13. You kind find him at just about any Tiger football, baseball or basketball game if you wish to talk to him....he broadcasts each and every Tiger district game and has done so for the past 7-8 years. So each and every incident that you complain has been instigated by "another" team, he was witnessed from court side! What? He deserves this lecture from you simply because he won't blindly take the side of his alma mater? Does that mean he doesn't support it? My friend, what you have described is not support. Support is able to look at a situation, even in the best of times, to attempt to make things even better. And for that he gets this scorn, gets treated like some bumpkin who has never been to Silsbee High and invited by another numbskull on this thread not to attend any more games. Y'all are pitiful and don't deserve the effort he puts in for Silsbee High. Yet, even though you don't deserve his services, he will be there for the rest of this season and all of next year with enthusiasm in his voice for his beloved Tigers.
  14. Huntington wins 5-0

  16. Hudson wins 5-0 and clinches the 21-4A district championship
  17. The Hill wins 6-1
  18. KPark takes it 10-0
  19. Going to the Bottom of the 7th, Bridge City leads Orangefield 8-6
  20. After 6, Cardinals lead 8-6
  21. What about lil sis?
  22. The Cards have taken the lead in the Top of the 6th, 8-6.
