  2. HJ wins this one by alot. Too many factors for EC to deal with.
  3. The field was extremely mushy and I'd have to say i disagree with the ball being wet overall. the balls were switched in every other play. The ball was a little wet however due to when it touches the ground of course before the center snaps it. Vidor didn't play ugly other than a few suprise hits by HJ when Vidor fumbled, HJ just played well. And Vidor did their share of roughing at the bottom of the piles too. I watched some of their players do it as well and talked to a few HJ players afterwards and saw they had been stepped on a few times. But of course this is always going to happen at some point and time. Overall Vidor showed class and i think it was a good game for HJ to be apart of.
  4. Block four extra points, or block one and stop 3 2-point conversions. doesn't have to be a field goal
  5. I don't know if i should laugh at this comment, or stay suspectingly quiet...or if i should just awe and say wow...?? Iunno
  6. Well HJ has been running the spread offense since day 1 so I'm sure thats what the pirates should be expecting. just like HJ should be expecting the smash-mouth football of Vidor on offense.
  7. What makes you think BC is a shoo in? They haven't done anything to impress so far. No they beat Liberty and Kountze and everyone's getting excited at how good they are now ;D
  8. Transitions for HJ this preason hasn't been much in the difference of offenses that HJ's opponents have been using, but in the size of schools they have been playing. They have played a strong, state-ranked, run 3A Cleveland team, a strong contender 2A RUN Woodville team, and now they will play another strong run team but now in 4A and much more depth. HJ can definitly have a good game if they minimize mistakes, and do no turnovers, which I'm sure is difficult against this Vidor team. However, if the receivers for HJ start catching the balls, and the big plays open up, it can be a good game. The offense of HJ continues to progress. GO HJ!

  10. Theres no way HJ's getting last keep dreaming
  11. Win, Lose, or Draw...this game will definitly help HJ out. Playing a great 4a team can only help them improve. I'm happy they were chosen on HJ's schedule
  12. Evadale by 35. That Kountze defense is going to have to show me some better tackling. goodluck though
  13. yea but do they have size? vidor 48- hj 7 Size isn't everything. Its execution of the plays
  14. Hardin-Jefferson first road game of the season on their way to vidor. Predictions?
  15. This Kountze defense isn't the best out there. Woodville put up 59 points on kountze and also held them to a goose egg...HJ didn't even allow Woodville to get any good drives going and put up 26 and only allowed 7. Good win for BC, but don't start thinking BC will be dominate every game.
  16. The Hawks held their own last night not allowing Woodville to get any good drives going. The yards Woodville did get were the few big plays they were able to make. Other than that, they were not able to score on HJ's first stringers. Good job to the playcalling of the Offense of the Hawks, and they were well executed.

  18. Yes Jacoby Turner #21 is still playing. He should show up big this game.
  19. I definitly agree with this statement. I don't think pros have the same passion as highschool players. College level still run options and college teams have players sometimes right out of highschool. Colleges also run camps that many players around the areas go to and learn from the coaches.
  20. What he meant by "not as bad as the score indicated" was that the game was 22-7 at one point and still was a good game in the 3rd quarter and HJ ended up losing 35-7. Starters started coming out at towards and thats when Cleveland hit HJ with a touchdown. And at the end, many starters of HJ were out (possibly Cleveland as well) and Cleveland scored a long ridiculous, but well ran, touchdown. HJ bounces back this Friday however against Woodville and takes the win.
  21. Hardin-Jefferson hosts this game at home, and then do not have another home game for the next 5 weeks. Predictions?
  22. HJ will be scoring way before even the 4th quarter. The coaching staff over at HJ are doing a swell job right now and the players are able to communicate very well with their system. This could be a high scoring game!
  23. Pretty sure their to wear the cheerleaders out so they'll be less annoying at the games. hahaha! thats extremely messed up ;D
