I may be wrong as I have not read the infractions of all these players - but are we not talking about Aggie players with drugs and the Texas players with sexual assault - and you are talking like they are the same - and should have the same results.

TxHoops - I will take that bet - Now you state that Sumlin has lied to all recruits and is building a "house of cards" and all these lied to recruits will bolt from Texas A&M (because they are all mind numbed robots that can't make a decision for themselves without Sumlin telling them what to think and do) - I guess we have  to ignore the fact that this has not happened in his first years at A&M and not at Houston before that and no other recruit has even come close to claiming what you claim the Hudson family has said.    Can your anti-Aggie bias get any more obvious.

A lot of coaches are taking shots at the SEC - and they can - but until another league can place 1/2 of its teams in the top 25 (as well as having 3 - 4 in the top 10) on a fairly regular basis they all sound like crybabies.

Nobody said that Texas would not be fine.     But Texas and its fans may need to get used to a more even $$$$$$ playing field than they are used too - Texas has had its way with the money side of college athletics for a long time now.  Its time to spread the wealth a little!

Just goes to show that in the current environment of Big Time College Athletics that some of the best athletes are not the best role models.  As stated before if this has not happened to your college yet do not gloat as it will happen sooner or later.   I will give credit to Coach Strong for the immediate removal of these athletes - now lets see if he (like some schools do) allow them back on the field before the season starts - if he does I will think less of him at that time.

I agree - someone beat my daughter like that and quite likely I would be the one in jail for doing something stupid.  But as an Ex-Police officer I know that if the victim does not want to press charges or states that the altercation was their fault - prosecution (in this case punishment) is almost impossible.

It is likely that in the following interviews by the NFL she supported him and even possibly took the blame (I know - I think it is a stretch as well) and that could be the reason that the punishment was so light.  The reason - they are now married.

^^^^^ I agree and would not want the job.   TxHoops - Again I am not aware of this situation and cannot comment on the accuracy or inaccuracy of the information.  It may well have happened just like you stated.  But you have stated or at least implied that this was common recruiting procedure for the Sumlin staff and Sumlin himself.     ALL I am saying is that this is not being proven out with other Texas A&M commits - That is all I am saying.  If he was putting words in his recruits mouths like it was implied here - there would be a lot of flipping of A&M recruits prior to signing day - in his two years at A&M this just has not happened to a larger degree than other universities.   Let me be clear - Baylor stealing recruits from A&M - Texas and other schools will continue as long as Briles is successful and the head coach - he is very good at this job. 

So you posted something that you do not know is true - interesting.  But it about A&M so it makes no difference right!   Agian - I do not know the facts - but I would never post a negative statement like this about Coach Strong unless I was 100% sure of its accuacy.   I will not disagree with you about Mack Brown - I think he was a top notch man and made Texas better.     But you do not mind painting Sumlin as pathetic based on "what you are hearing".  Again if I am wrong about Sumlin in he long run he will suffer - but so far what you state happened to Mr. Hudson has not happen to Sumlin's recruiting classes so either this is a unique situation or ALL or most of the other players just went along with Sumlin and signed up at A&M when they really wanted to go elsewhere - which I really doubt.

I do believe that this is not in the best interest of A&M just due to the fact that he is disabled - but how many people do you think Texas has sued for using the Longhorn and hook'em trademarks?

Can't argue with what you have said cause I just do not know.   However, if your premise was true then there would be lot of de-commits prior to signing day and well that just has not happened.  He has had 1 or 2 change commitments late in the process but not any more or less than other schools.   So pardon me if I do not take an Anti-Aggie's world as gospel.     We will have to see if Sumlin's can keep on attracting the top recruits and keep getting them, to sign - I do not know why he is able to do so - but right now he is !

You see that is why I laugh to myself often - I do believe that Texas will be better and actually hope they are.  And I  do admit it I do get defensive when fans - mostly Texas fans - trash A&M.   You are 100% right lets play the games and let the chips fall where they may - but I do not believe that either team will "throw in he towel". 

I'm glad to see that you as a Texas fan is accepting of Texas being 4th or 5th is a weak league - just as long as it is not 5th or 6th in a strong division - enjoy.     Also, other than the  6 straight wins in the early 2000's you have to go back a long long (1970's) way to remember the last time that either team has had the other ones number in fact (a fact that Texas wishes was forgot) not too far before that 6 game in streak A&M won 10 of the 11 games.   More recently over the last 6 years it is 3 and 3.

This would not really surprise me too much and if it happens would shut some of the quacking up.

Still in my opinion its better then being the middle of the pack in average league - like say Texas is in.  The west division of the SEC including Texas A&M would walk through the BIg 12 - only OU and Baylor would even put up a fight.   But some Texas fans appear to be happy being among the "average" teams in the Big 12.   

Texas will be 9 - 3 - that is my prediction.   Weak league - will lose to OU, Baylor and UCLA.  Will manage to win at TT but it will be close.

Defenses still suks = under   Defense improves = over   My prediction has always been 8 wins.   Let the games begin!

Also, if you review the top 25 predictions for 2015 the 5 teams above A&M are mostly predicted to be in the top 15 in the nation.  And the same predictions mostly predict that A&M will be between 19th and 23rd - but still in the top 25.   Also, if you want to talk predictions - the top 25 predictions also almost all show that the predicted 6th place west division Aggie's will still be a better team and higher ranked than Texas - in almost every poll.  I must mention that there was one or two that did predict Texas to end up better than A&M.   However, I feel that I must point out that the Las Vegas odds makers did make Texas a 40/1 odds to win the NC while Texas A&M was given only a 50/1 odds.    Let the games begin!

This is a MAJOR violation and these players should be tossed into a dungeon for this and ........ Wait they took food while other players are druggies, rapist or worse.  If this is a bad as it gets at Texas kudos to Strong.   Hate to see players lose eligibility for this minor offense (my opinion) while others keep it for much much worse.

And baddog - I agree - I still support Texas when they play everybody but Texas A&M and Texas Tech - Texas (The State) rules baby!
