this will be entertaining for the next two weeks...I have decided to sit back, listen to Vidor talk about how bad they are kick Nederland's butt (like they did last year) and then see what happens...should be fun!

Just got home, but wow, what a game!  Really proud of the Dogs...they could have easily mailed it in after 4 first quarter turnovers, but that just isn't in the makeup of this bunch...they will fight you...hats off to Angleton...they are very good, but I cannot say that I was surprised by that...I expected them to be dang good and they did not disappoint...I would love to see them again in the playoffs. As for the injuries, Pryor has a hyper-extended elbow, Delfirio has a concussion...not sure about Hopkins...sure hope these guys can heal up in 2 weeks for the district opener...it's time to defend the crown!!! And going for 2??  Absolutley the right call in a non-district road game...I have zero problem with that at all. Congrats to both teams...really good, exciting game in miserable weather, but fun as heck to watch.

Tough one to pick between two teams who could very well meet again later in the season...I will take the Dogs in this one, 27-24, although I will admit that winning this one on the road will be a monumental task...I think the boys are up to it

Explosive would be the word I would use to describe the Angleton offense...Nederland needs to play ball control and field position to win...make Angleton play on a long field against that tough D...great test for the Dogs early in the season...I think the Dogs will be the more physical team

Well, based on that post, I will have to say: Angleton - 98 Nederland - 4 Late defensive stand by the Dogs against Angletons 4th team keeps them from hanging 100

Duden played, he just didn't do much...GCM had most of their yards on 3 plays which totaled nearly 180 yards, two of which came long after Nederland's starters were pulled

And history shows that basketball season always starts earlier at BH as well

the Goose will be a stiff challenge for the Dogs...they will be a playoff team again this year, I suspect and I also suspect them to be improved over last season...now, Nederland beat them by 18 twice last year, so I don't know if they are 18 points better, but tonight, we will find out. Nederland  24 GCM        14 Best of luck to both teams and here is to an injury free game for both sides.
