  8. Turf shoes??

    I see just as many tennis shoes as i do cleats and turf shoes.  I've seen several complete teams that only had tennis shoes... rebok zigs, nike running shoes, whatever.  In my opinion a good cross training shoe would be best.  A running shoe doesn't give the support for side to side motion, whereas a cross trainer is designed to support the foot from rolling over when you plant and change direction etc.  And that really is what the turf shoes are, they just have a different sole.

    It's time for the 3rd Annual Jay Bruce Golf Benefit.  It will be held at Bayou Din Golf Club in Beaumont, on Monday, November 19, 2012.  Proceeds benefit The Arc of Greater Beaumont and West Brook High School's Life Skills department.  For those who are not familiar with him, Jay grew up in Beaumont, graduated from West Brook High School and plays right field for the 2012 National League Central Champion Cincinnati Reds.  During his off season he is giving back to his community.

    Please spread the word… If you or someone you know plays golf, please help Jay in making this annual event a success.  Sponsorships are needed and appreciated.
