The problem with this argument is, the pitcures taken by fans are not being analyzed by coaches. If coaches are taking pictures of the opposing defense, then they know beyond a shadow of a doubt where they are lining up and where to attack them.

Assistant Superintendent Julie Gauthier blamed the violation, which occurred during the Indians’ 48-45 win over Crosby on Oct. 12, on a lack of understanding of the specific rule. “One of our coaches who didn’t know the rule had the iPad propped against the glass in the press box taking photos,” Gauthier said. This is from the Enterprise article. This tells me the violation was deliberate and they were gaining an advantage. Now who knew the rule and who didn't is debatable. And the fact that Faircloth was aware of the violation is also debatable. However, he is ultimately responsible for the actions of his coaches. so.........

Not sure it will be 14, but i tend to agree that Home-field advantage is a real thing. However, LC-M likes to sling around also if I'm not mistaken. It is just disturbing that the Falcons continually find ways to fall apart. I really think it is a coaching issue.

It is an NCAA rule. Which Texas High School football follows, unless otherwise stated. Other states, with the exception of California, play National Federation Rules, which allow it.

I deleted it.

Yes, and there is a penalty associated with being caught.

I posted than prior to the PNG forfeit.

Robert's Rules of Order states a voting member may abstain if they so choose. If, I'm not mistaken.

Because I hate when people who have zero clue state something as facts, that is completely false.
-
College's do NOT!!! Texas High School football plays NCAA rules, and the NCAA rules are VERY clear on this issue.

That is cheating, and that is as bad as it gets.

Oops. Ineligible player?

Congratulations to the Red Devils, the coaches, the community and anybody associated with the program. It is certainly a great moment in History.

Huffman should win this one, but that means very little. This will be a very close game and the Falcons have found a way to LOSE most of the close ones this year.

#8 Franklin (4-0) @ Diboll (4-0)
PlayActionPass replied to lionpride08's topic in High School Football
It could go either way, but Diboll has to throw the ball better than they have all season if they are going to beat Franklin. -
Do you really think Riordon will leave? I know his wife's job was one that was RIF'ed. Does this really spell the end of the Code Red era?

I think the Huffman Offensive Coordinator gave yall that game. The lack of a 4 minute offense (which they should have been running the whole second half) was the difference. Huffman didn't neeed to score in the second half, they just needed to play keep away. When you have a lead like they did, any drive that ends in a kick is a good drive. If they would have run the ball in the second half then Lumberton would have had no shot at coming back, IMO. But, Splendora has a a balanced attack and should be able to take advantage of whatever the Huffman defense gives them. The difference will be if Splendora can cover the Huffman receiver or if the Huffman QB can throw it to the right color jersey.

I think it may be more of a Resurrection Project. Or, maybe even a blow it all up, and start all over project.

Well, they started the season with over 40 on the Varsity team. Sounds like grades or quitters. I know they are trying to keep they younger groups together, I think they have over 30 JV kids (Sophomores) and almost 50 Freshman.
-
This is going to be very tight football game. Both teams have a lot on the line. Can Huffman's Defense hold up to the power running game of Splendora? Can Splendora cover the Huffman receiving corps? Who has the better kicker/Special Teams?
-
They could have dropped 2 classifications to 4A-Div II and still not made the playoffs. Not sure they make it if they had dropped 3 classifications to 3A Div I..

I agree with that, but if my memory serves me right TF (or his staff) did a pretty good job of developing QB's.
