1. Chip has to be the most generous person I have ever met. He has helped more young men follow their dream of playing baseball at the next level that would have never had the opportunity to without the the support he provides the team.
It is amazing to watch.
The organization not only teaches them baseball and provides opportunities to these young men.  They also give them the experience of staying away from home, and being more independent which prepares them for the transition to college.
Watching the boys thank Chip for all he does, is a joy to watch. They all come to him and shake his hand and the smile on his face let's you know it is all worth it to him. He takes a personal interest in each of them.
Again, the most generous personI know.
2. I can't say enough about what a great experience being with the Sun Devils has been for my son the past 5 years. Being challenged and playing with the best and against the best talent in the country is amazing.  It is so different from High School ball.  We can't thank Chip, Michelle, Matt Thompson, JR Bardin, Jimmy Neale, Glenn and Raissa Cechinni, and the coaches from the beginning of this 2012 group, David Huggins and Blake Justice enough for being the coaches that pushed these kids to be the best they can be. Also, the comment about once a Devil, always a Devil, is so true. The players helped, encouraged and supported each other a great deal. Even players in the same position helped each other. Truly a joy to watch them mature through the years.
Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough.
3. Congrats  to all of these young men.  I am very proud to say that my son and his best friend had the pleasure of playing with them for a few years.  Well deserved to a group of fine young men.  What an honor to play for an organization that promotes young players the way the Sun Devil staff does.  It has been great 5 years.  Thanks MIF04 and Crew.  :)
4. Bridge City had a great season.  You can't have errors and strike outs and expect to win at this stage in the play offs.  I wanted BC to pull off the win and advance, but it wasn't in the CARDS for us.
It will be an interesting match up with Robinson and China Spring.  Would be a great game to watch.  They are in the same district and Robinson has beat CS twice.  But, they haven't seen Sterling Wynn.  So the Hollingsworth/Wynn match up will be a good one.
From what my son said, the Robinson team played with good sportsmanship and Hollingsworth even got off the bus and came over to speak specifically to my son in the parking lot.  He and a couple of other players complimented his play and hit, and wished him the best in college and looked forward to meeting up with him again.  Not all teams are that way.  It says a lot about those players and thier character.
This is a game for High School kids.  One game, 3 games, shut outs, #1's vs #2's it doesn't matter.  These are High School kids doing the best they can.  None of them want to lose.  Every team wants to go to the State Championship.  It happened the way it happened and the best team that night won.  Period.  Do I think we could have beaten them? Sure...I always have faith in my Cardinals.  But, it is over, we can't go back now and play the game again.  I am not happy the Cardinal's season is over, but that is the game of baseball.

Most of the local talent can be found on the "Texas" regional link.

Several Texas Sun Devils on the First Team All America.

Congrats to all.

You are right GCM, these are the boys from the Texas region, but also from digging around on the website, I see that Grayson Long and Cameron Dishon made the High-Honorable Mention team in the nation. I hope I read that right. There are a number of others from the area on that list too. Great job boys, keep up the hard work!!!

Jacob Lemoine and Matthew Menard were also on that list :)
