It don't have to be the Montagne. It can be at ford park, heck kountze and hj played there. Plus with both gyms not holding at least 2,000 and their being at least 3,000 people that care bout attending this game.  Cause what if a parent doesn't get in, r they suppose to leave work early?

With it being such a great rivalry and people flooding the place from both schools , I think it would be awesome if this game was played at the Montagne. Think about, instead of turning people away an hour before the game, u can probably sell out the Montagne. Imagine 10,000 strong watching that game and imagine the money both schools can make.    Besides it's not really home court advantage when it's split down the middle with both fans.  All I'm saying is just show the state how BIG this rivalry really is!

I know Prudhomme is a great player and everything, this kid has done amazing things against 3A schools and some 4A but when he played Nederland as a Jr. the kid scored like 4pts. on a tough Nederland team. Locked down by Kelvin Smith(and scored on Prudhomme many times) who aint even playing college ball and didnt even get to play for Lamar!  Prudhomme might have gotten better but  from an inside stand point at Lamar, with Coach Knight here it has gotten harder for local kids to be recruited.  Prudhomme will probably go prove me wrong and just start going off every game, but Im just stating it is harder than u think to play for Lamar.  Best of Luck to Prudhomme on a great senior season and for his future basketball career!

[/quote] It will be hard for them to win state since our 3A region is really good, especially with Mexia (team that knocked HJ out last year.) Dont get me wrong this HJ team is good, but don't under estimate Nederland. That is why you schedule tough teams in the preseason. So it gets you ready for District when it really matters. Nederland has potential, and thats one of the scariest things in Basketball.  Great win HJ!  Best of luck to both teams on a great and SAFE season.

I saw the highlights of the Silsbee game, and they really need to get their football kids back in shape, if they are gonna have chance this year against a real team!

That doesnt matter, St. Pius and St. Thomas arent like Kelly. They have just basketball kids. They focus on Basketball over Football.  I was talkng with a St.Pius parent last night and he said they have only 2 kids playing football right now, both kids dont even start!
