Devante will do better than McNeese St  ;)
If u honestly believe that McNese St. is not a good enough school for Devante then u need to come see me so I can buy the stuff that ur on. Just because its Southland doesn't mean that it is the bottom. It's still a D1 school and most kids who come out of this area who are at the same level or better than Devonte have ended at JuCo or D2/D3. I'm sorry if I'm coming off as just getting on to you 5on5, but I'm just tired of people on this site thinking that the leap from high school to D1(in any sport) is just so easy that everyone can do it in this area.
 3. I believe they chose not to play because Wildridge went down and it looked pretty bad so they knew that they would sruggle without him plus they just gave Yates a huge loss. Mainly they left cause they had only 6 players without him.
 4. Port Arthur needs to show me that they can stop turning the ball over and doing undisciplined things to get TDs called back. Plus need improvement on Defense, Deer Park was gashing them late.  I will give them respect when they get their act together and play well against teams like North Shore and LaPorte. This week will be the first real team they will play (North Shore). Playing against Central/Ozen and 2 HISD teams is not really stiff competition for a 5A school.
 5. WOS has a great team with their biggest strength being that fast, physical Defense. There Offense is good enough to win their district handly but when they get deeper into the playoffs they might get their offense line exposed since that is WOS biggest weakness. But back on topic, if we are truly talking bout best team in SETX then I gotta give my hat off to Humble Summer Creek. They have a massive, athletic players for a 4A school. I have seen some 5A schools not even look like them at every positon. I might have seen them  play once against PNG but they could of easily put up 84 if they hadn't called the dogs off in the 3rd qtr. Rankings: 1.)Humble Summer Creek 2.)Nederland (tied) 2.)WOS(tied) 4.)Dayton 5.)Vidor

 7. I believe it's gonna be a toss up between Central, Nederland, and Ozen just like last year. Central is gonna be good but I don't think they are gonna completely dominate. I see these teams splitting amongst each other like last year. Yeah Ozen is young but they will play hard and with all that speed it's gonna make them seem better. Nederland as the experience but not really the athleticism factor. Central is bringing some young guns back from last year but it will be interesting to see who will replace the go to scoring guard position that was held by Kristian Smith. The rest of this district is gonna be battling for that fourth and final spot. Plus I hear that the Collins kid from Livingston might not even play this year so that will really make it wide open.

Especially a team that has film and past game plans on defending the Wing-T. Yeah Vidor is 3-0 and it is a big deal for Vidor fans, but the total record of those 3 opponents is 1-9 with the only win coming by the hands of BC defeating a bad Kelly team. On the other hand Nederland comes in to the game with a 2-1 record, with their only loss coming to #3 ranked Angleton by 8 points. Nederlands opponents have a total record of 8-2 with the only two losses being dealt by the hands of Nederland. With all this being said Nederland is stilling trying to work the kinks out of there Offense and go more deeper into their playbook. But the Nederland defensive talent (if all Healthy) will be the best Vidor has seen all year, hands down. Heck, Nederland is the best team they will have played after this.  Nederland Wins 28-6!!!!!!
Last week it was all about Clear Brooks offense being biggest, fastest, and best Vidor has seen so far. Vidor wins and now all of a sudden Clear Brook is trash and everyone forgets about their OT loss to LP, where several posters claimed they outplayed LP but fell short on scoreboard. Then they take Seven Lakes to triple OT and Give them the win after they rush on the field after blocking a field goal kick. Just funny how they lose so much credibility after losing to Vidor . After one helluva hard fought WAR with lots of ups and downs :::::: Vidor 23 Nederland 21
I remember seeing a lot of people saying last week that Clear Brook wasn't getting the credit they deserved because they were a tough team and don't let the 0-2 fool you.    Vidor beats them and now CB wasn't "that great" of a team.  Vidor - 17 Ned - 14
Clear Brook lost to LaPorte in OT but LaPorte played a reall 5A team(Clear Springs) and got hammered 32-8 so dont think Clear Brook was that good of a team. Besides, I expected vidor to to play good against Clear Brook. No one in that district runs the Wing-T. It's hard to guard something that u never see!!!

 19. Congrats to Shawne. This is a great place for him to go and improve his game more, especially outside shooting.  Some people in this area need to start understanding just how much it takes to go D1 straight out of high school. Shawne will probably go D1 after 2 years like what Jamar Gulley did.
 20. I heard the tourney might get rescheduled for personel reasons.
