So when where and with whom is the next game?

Well we are "baseball people", supporting "soccer people", but we did skip the Ozen matchup last week, due to weather. If you haven't watched our Pirates soccer team, they are VERY impressive, never been to game until this year, and have enjoyed the two I have attended, we have a great group of young men!

Well we dont seem to have this problem following the Varsity boys soccer team. But oh well Ill catch a game eventually!

Wow this is another game we were planning on attending and the time was moved. So how DO I find out when the games are changed, because the times and dates on vidorisd.org are not correct? Wonder how they expect any support if the times and dates are kept a secret.

Jason, thank you for putting on the Spring Ball league, it was a wonderful oppurtunity for players and parents that desire more baseball. Thanks coach Jay and Chris, it was wonderful working with you. Thanks to the kids and parents of the Minor league Phillies, we had a great team dynamic and everyone always had a positive attitude. Hope to have more "offseason" baseball oppurtunities in the future!

Wish I would have known, we pulled up to the high school tonight around 720 and couldnt understand why there wasnt a game.

I like the dark blue jerseys with the rainbow. When they changed to the Navy and sparkling gold, I didnt like it. When they changed to the "brick and sand", I then appreciated the gold and navy. Looking back now the Navy and gold is my second favorite, wouldnt mind revisiting that color scheme again. Also the star now is just boring, again the slant with the gold and navy was better.

We are right in the middle of that. Why don't they consider us? [/quote] I think they do not deliver in Vidor. I don't see them in the gas stations and I don't think they end up in driveways. I do not believe Vidor is being picked on, if that is what your getting at.

However i read the article and when I got to this paragraph it all made sense to me... [i]"Vidor deserves special mention here too. This is one reason I prefer baseball, no hankies and the umpires NEVER miss a call!

[/quote] You see it happen in colleges all the time.  A school would be barred from the playoffs (Bowl Games) for X # of yrs.  Yes, you're punishing kids that may not have been involved,  but the main purpose, IMO, is to straighten the coaches out.    Because, ultimately,  discipline comes from the coaches and is instilled in to the players. [/quote] I think it is different for a college program because punishments in years following can hurt recruitment efforts, and players can move to another school if Im not mistaken. As for Ozen and any punishment involved I would like to recommend one of two. 1 Next season when playing Vidor, Jacobi Jones should be required to play the entire game with his shoelaces tied together, and Trey Green also if he is returning. 2 Next season, again only in the Vidor game, the Ozen end zone should be shrunk to a 1 square foot patch of field, placed on a skate board, with a string attached to it, ran to Coach Mathews hand!

Jason stick with it you have a great idea started. Don't let a few spoil it for you. If it I ran the world we would have one season after another all year long, not just fall and spring. Thanks for the oppurtunity your allowing the local kids.

I saw both this past weekend, and my opinion is Angleton has the edge, but the two Offenses had some similarities that I find interesting. Good Luck to both, whoever wins,,, I hope you pop the sillies out of Lake Travis!

To all the Boys on our football team, and all the support groups, band, cheerleaders, drill team: THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL SEASON! You have made so many of us, proud, and given us a ride only a few can remember. I will never forget this season. I can only hope that your group has started a legacy.
