Select U18 Girls win their bracket with wins of 6-0, 2-0 and 3-1.  Girls played really well even on Sunday in several inches of water.  It was fun to watch! State Finals have moved to the weekend of December 17 & 18.

This team is made up with a few WB varsity and a few Kelly varsity and a few Lumberton varsity players.  A good group of girls that enjoy playing soccer and all get along. I am not sure of any rulings that dictate the if you win a cup one year you have to move to the next level the following year.  If so, they did not say anything to us about it this year.

The girls won the last game 2-0 over Albion.  Congrats girls for a second straight Directors Cup State Championship!

I have to give a little input in to this string of messages.  Of course I am somewhat partial but that is understood.  I will just say that no one player or even 2 or 3 players make a "team".  WB has a [b]couple[/b] of players that were on the team and still are that contributed to what has happened in the past as well as what will happen in the future.  Kelly is in the same situation.  Statistics mean a lot to me and if you look at WB statistics for this past year, there were other players that contributed to the succes of WB. Both WB & Kelly will have competitive teams next year. Hopefully we will get to see them go head to head in the WB Tournament in January.

WB loses to Friendswood 0-3, will play at 3:00 for 3&4th.  Not sure who yet.

The info I got is that they will Play Friendswood tomorrow in the Semi's.  Friendswood won today in a tie and then shootout. No little one yet as far as the players know.

WB beats Stephen F Austin 7-3 will play the winner of the Friendswood vs Klein game at 9:00 tomorrow morning in the semi-finals

WB lady Bruins will play SFA High School which beat Bryan High School 6-0.  The game is at 3:00
