Luling went 5-5 and 4-6 his two years there. But I guess that's what we're really used to here in Woodville. We hire .500 coaches to continue our mediocre tradition.

Just curious about his high school record (where you play the hand you'really dealt). Not college where you get to pick your team.

Anyone know his credentials, other than going 0-10 in Jacksonville last year.

My sources are area coaches that he (Vanya)is friends with. He did apply. They all thought he would get the job. Must have had some skeletons in his closet or made the wrong people mad in the past.

Checked Woodvilles football history on Smoaky.com. They are a traditional 5-5 team, so I guess "Woodville Material" is someone who will go 5-5.

Word on the street is that they have found their man, and its not Vanya. It seems he is not Woodville material according to my sources.

It seems a lot of these jobs around here are hush hush on the applicants. Maybe the people in charge don't want bad press for not hiring the best applicant. Really, why all the secrecy?

According to Smoaky.com, Vanya was there 7 years, record of 48-32, with 4 playoff runs, including a semi final and quarter final appearance.
