1.
You have bad facts... The coordinators both teach now. I think this lays much deeper than a couple of guys teaching loads. Morgan was very successful in Carthage. He was Surratt's Assistant AD and right hand man. Therefore to me it seems that maybe he knew how to do it right and JISD Administration didn't want to change there old ways. There's a reason all these coaches have been leaving this place over the years!
Interesting...I hear from reliable sources that he was allowed to get away with some "under the table" things at Carthage. Heard some nasty things about the Carthage athletic department. Seems to me like Morgan came from a place where he was allowed to do anything and football was treated like a college sport and he got to Jasper where money and restrictions were a little tighter and him and his brother couldn't handle it so they took their ball and went home. Newsflash fellas...you're not in the Pro ranks like your brother  ;)
 2. My God...the administration was making educators....educate?!? Fire the administration and make Morgan the superintendent! Making coaches teach is ridiculous! Morgan is justified in leaving!!!  ::) If this is all about other coaches having to teach classes...then this is insane. Last time I checked guys...you coach at a 3A high school....get some perspective on where you really are.
 3. Interesting....He didn't like the direction of the athletic program? Wasn't he the athletic director? Maybe things got tough and he bailed. "I am heartbroken for the kids" said Morgan, then why is he bailing on them? Leaving them there to "be the ones affected" by this. Interesting. I have no facts and no nothing about what REALLY happened, but by reading the articles....it sounds like he ran. Thoughts?
 4.
Jasper is a circus!! :o There is one man behind all this and it's not right.
Who is it? Let's hear the Carthage perspective...
 5.
I was told by a player ALL the coaches are leaving
Because players are obviously the first to know of all decisions like this...correct? Players are definitely reliable sources.  ::)
 6. Superintendent saying he had no idea this was coming. Looks like Morgan did this all by himself.

Had a me and a lot of other people really scratching our heads as to why that was happening. lol.
 8. You guys forgot about replays happening this year! That was an awesome addition to the tourney...unless I missed them last year. Also, I thought that there were more games than usual that refs were very inconsistent. Would also like to talk about how White Oak gave a medal to one of their fans who was a student and was literally going bonkers in the stands for his team...he was probably more tired than the players after the game. He was leading that fan section like a boss. haha.
 9.
Ooops! . I meant 1-a-thru 5-a schools in this area  ;)
Haha. It's all good! I agree with you that none in the area could handle them.
 10.
Some of you guys are funny. Yates lost to a VERY GOOD team in 4-a near the end of the game. None of the 3-a, 4-a or 5-a schools could handle Kimball in a State tourney. Yates will dominate 3-a regionals.
Uhhh....Marcus and Travis would have beat Kimball. But I agree with the 3A and 4A part of the statement. lol.
 11.
That Harris twin for FB Travis, the one that plays pt guard, dances with the ball too much.  He has good handles, but they're not that good.
Did you really just say this? That kid is money. He can do whatever he wants with the ball.
 12. Was at the tourney...this Yates team was definitely not as good as teams made up of Snap Peters and Mighty Joe Young. But they were still very good and VERY athletic. They lost to a great Kimball team in what was in my opinion the best game or at least best finish of the tournament. Yates had a few huge travels and missed FT's that let Kimball have the opportunity to hang around there at the end. Just a phenomenal game all around and was so happy I got to witness it. Also, to those saying Yates will lose next year in 3A.....HAHAHA. Yates would have beat every 3A team there by 40. Not to diss the 3A teams, Yates is just on a different level. Take a look at Sophomore Melvin Swift....he's what you will be playing against next year.

Silsbee thumped they pretty hard but they played WOS really close.
Yes, Silsbee did thump them pretty hard, won by 48, 76-28. After watching Jasper get "thumped", this comes as a complete surprise to me with them beating Hudson. It could be 1 of 2 things. Jasper could be getting better or Hudson wasn't as good as I thought they were.
Now we need Dominic Bailey to come back for the rematch against Silsbee like he did a few years back to when we won the 2nd time after an equally bad beating at the hands of the Tigers.  It seems he skipped his senior year so he should have a year of eligibility left :)
Tigers would welcome that rematch. There is no Bailey or Spikes anywhere near this Jasper team. ;) BTW, ever hear of one-hit wonders? The classic case= Jasper 2009. ::)
I'll never forget you saying we didn't have a chance. Then 5'9 seniors Bailey and Spikes went crazy on your tigers. Seemed like they were taking shots from half-court and making them. Not to mention everyone from our team literally doing back flips on the court after the win. That was an incredible night and RARE highlight of Jasper basketball. haha.

Just like the coaching staff!
You're right, Chapel Hill is a joke of a football team, and our young team should have been in the game/beaten them.....Get real, man. Chapel Hill was the number one team in the state. How on earth can you call Jasper overrated for losing badly to them? Please, PLEASE explain your logic. Oh, and you're right about the coaching staff, it's not like they were left a train wreck of a football program, and then turned it around to win a district championship the next year.....OH WAIT.
I gotta concur with the TRUTH. This has been a disappointing year, at least thus far.
Are you being serious right now, man? Do you remember what we looked like last year????
Tdaddy thats a bold statement to make the way i saw Kirbyville smash your dogs last season. Jasper have talent and still sucks and everybody know this. You guys will beat Hunnington but will struggle with Kirbyville i promise you that.
Last year is part of the past.....which is what K-ville fans will be trying to live in for years to come. lol. I hope you guys enjoyed success for those couple of years....because it's over...for a very long time.
Question.? Are You a Vidor Pirate or Deweyville Pirate...Just curious.
I'm a Jasper fan through and through. But all my friends know that I love pirates of the Caribbean. I'm sort of like Mike Leach in that sense. Weird....probably. But I love those movies. haha

 18.

If you're honest with yourself, only one of OF's tds can be blamed on the coaches.  After the punt, OF ran a long TD while Jasper's D was still coming off the sidelines!!!!
And if your honest with yourself you will see that if OF didn't even score that touchdown they still would've won. Those 7 points didn't even matter. Jasper is not even close to OF's calliber. Stop kidding yourself
LOL, at someone from Orangefield saying someone isn't their caliber. You're Orangefield, bro. Orangefield. You're like the Baylor of every district y'all are in. You got lucky and beat a young Jasper team, who scored three times in the 4th quarter on you guys....but they're "not even close to OF's caliber." Orangefield clown.
 19. Jasper has played fairly well for a new coach and system, up to this point. They had a hiccup against orangefield....but it happens. We are going to be just fine...I still believe we win a very weak 18-3a district. As for if the community getting what it paid for.....I have heard nothing but positive remarks about the new coaches from the current players. These guys have improved the field house and facility immensely since they have been here, by working hard every morning usually up there painting and working before school. I do believe the community has gotten everything they are paying for. Give them some time, the dogs will be just fine.
 20.
I'm picking OF every time I pick Jasper they loose...Jasper's offense is hampered by the play of our QB...but when he does make a good throw we can't catch it (#18) dropped 3 against silsbee...I wonder if the coaches are regretting their decision to start walker over Bolton and give walker a year on jv. But it's to late now cause Bolton bolted to baseball...
Doubt very seriously they regret that. Bolton is so small, he would have gotten injured very quickly. There's no way he weighs over 120. Walker has a lot of room to improve, but he's getting better every game. The good news is...he's only a sophomore.
 21. Extensions?! Have some proof before you throw around wild accusations like that! It's all natural over here, sir!!! Anyways, the junior high group looks strong this year, great genes running through those kids. Awesome fingernails. Really raw, but nothing a little nail file can't fix.
 22. How are the guy's nails looking this year? That was our biggest problem on the field last year....weak, and thin fingernails.
 23. Kvillecats   I could be wrong, but I think there was sarcasm in his post about being a barber. Lol
 24. Rykerx   Thanks for the insight. That's the crazy thing about high school football, kids can mature and get so much bigger, stronger, and faster over one summer, and a team can change so much over that time as well. But you know how it is, no matter what, that game between us is always fun and exciting to watch....(except last year...that sucked to see from our side of the field. Hahaha)
 25.

Jasper is going to surprise a lot of people this year....I would even say they have a very good shot at winning district. K-ville will be down this year, and I think the Dogs will take them.
I dont doubt the Bulldogs will have a pretty good team. Saying Kirbyville will be down this year considering the talent we have especially on defense is not thinking smart. Talent flows in Kirbyville and you will see why they rank once again.
Easy, easy. I wasn't taking a jab at your cats....But let's look at this seriously...when I say down, it means not as good as those teams in the last four or five years. Am I far off with my rationale?
