  1. PNG on Friday. Sam Rayburn Fish vs. Vidor Ranger on Saturday.
  2. Good Luck to the Mighty Cardinals and Coach Dubois! Bring home the victory back to the OC!
  3. Celina, Brownwood, Stephenville, Odessa Permian, Allen. I'm guessing.
  4. You have no idea how much I pray for this for my Pirates...just once in my lifetime.
  5. Yeah, I've had enough of this thread as well. Crosby knocked us out and then got knocked out...but both of us were in the playoffs and district champions. Let it go; it was a great season for the Cougars.
  6. OK, I've seen a little film of College Station and the one thing all of you are talking about is Perez and the offense. The star of their team is their DEFENSE. Y'all need to research how many points and yards they're giving up. I'm sure BF is aware of this...I'm not so sure running Shug every other play is gonna work as well. Need to air the ball out a little more this game.
  7. I'm going with West Brook in this one. I just got a feeling this is a team of destiny. Good to show Coach Flanigan was the right choice for that team. They are playing solid football right now.
  8. Congratulations Mighty Titans on a huge victory today! Keep it rolling!
  9. Great win last night Indians....I might even wear purple this Friday night. I have to agree...Stallworth becoming the Rez West.
  10. Nope...looks like it's y'all verses Bellville Skip.
  11. Congratulation Ponies on getting it done again last night. Probably Bellville next week so get ready for the slot-t next week. Y'all play against it enough so should'nt be a problem.
  12. GO PONIES! BRING IT HOME TO THE OC!!!
  13. Unfortunately, gotta go with the Malakoff Tigers in this one. They're the real deal and a good shot for a state title. Good antique shops there.
  14. Looks like the rain should push through before the game from what I see. Moving fast coming into north Houston right now on my computer. Wear something warm!
  15. Sometimes this is when you have your best team IMO. Expectations aren't high, coaching philosophy has set in to the kids and a little unforeseen talent = winning. GO BRUINS!!!
  16. What a lot of you don't understand though 14.2 is when you go from absolutely NO program to a playoff team every two - three years; that is something! It took Jeff a few years of trial and error to see what would work with our kids and get the philosphy all the way down to the little leagues. I've looked at Crosby's history and you guys haven't always had the glam years you do now, that takes time. I would love to see what a Westerberg could do at a school like Vidor but it ain't never gonna happen...we don't have the tax base to pay for it. Mathews is one of the highest paid coaches in our area, though. Personally, I don't see any of our teams getting any better because unlike your area, ours is shrinking. And, unless the refining business or some other industry decides to move here and upgrade, it will continue to do so. I doubt that Crosby will even be in the same division after the next realignment; most of our schools with the exception of PAM are under 1600 kids so this will be a DII district.
  17. ^^^^^^^ This is the truth...you hit the nail on the head. Alicia told me she named them from those L'Amour novels. The eldest son is named Remington but he goes by Cutler. Didn't play football; only basketball. We only have one left and I'm not sure he'll play QB for the Pirates.
  18. OK, I gotta jump in here. First off, I will admit that 9 out of 10 times PAM would have beaten us but all the stars aligned and our kids wanted it worse. PAM's Achille's heel is their coaching, plain and simple and Jeff out coached Harrison, period. Xbox has talent EVERY year, it's just putting it together. Vidor has a kid go off to play D1 ball about every 10 years; Harrison has 5 or 6 every year so no matter what his record is, give Mathews his due. Besides 14.2; he has a winning record since 2009; it took a while to build the program. I think his big mistake was playing Crosby Thursday night; our kids were pretty beat up after the PAM game and about half of the Vidor fans couldn't come. It was a much closer game than you want to make it out to be...however Crosby won and deservedly so. I think all of you make issue of this who beat who stuff when these are 16 - 18 year old kids who, on any given night with a little inspiration, can make crazy things happen. The annuals of Texas football are filled with those stories; it's what makes our Friday night religion so special.
  19. Yeah, I think my brother and I got there around 6:00 and it hadn't backed up yet. We got a pretty good parking spot as well. I'll probably follow the same game plan for this Friday night. See y'all there. GO INDIANS!!!
  20. Dartboard. Moms huddle together, give it spin and where ever their dart lands...that's the name of the kid. Mostly TV shows and states. Montana, Dakota, George(ia), pretty easy.
  21. Good Luck Cardinals...bring back a VICTORY for the OC!
  22. It won't be bad going to Stallworth. Get off at Sjolander Road right pass the chemical plant and you're there. We left at 4:30 last Thursday, stopped and grabbed a burger and were there by about 6:15. Pretty easy drive as long as you don't get to Baytown proper.
