  1. Good list, I was impressed the way that Sutherland works the game, gets alot out of 8 or 9 deep.  I also point out with Wrinkle that given the talent level the guy does a great job.  Very good with the x's and O's just needs the players to do his system.  He gets the most out of his players and loves the game.  Good discussion topic.

  2. 14 pts if I am not mistaken, again, he is 6'10 playing against no one over 6'3, he should get every rebound down there.  OF also took the ball away from him several times with their smaller guards as he continued to bring the ball down and put it on the floor.  I never said that he was a bad kid, he seemed like he was a good kid.  My only point on him was that there was alot of hype about this kid, and he by no means other than by his size played up to that.  If he is continuing to get better that is great, just by having seen him and Neatherly, Neatherly was a better player.  I do not mean anything negative about the kid.

  3. Not saying  at all that the HJ team is not good.  they are well coached, the donahoe team is a good player.  When you think of 6'9 against 6'2 inside you should have someone being a dominator, he is not and maybe that is not the intent for him, I just expected more after all of the hype around him. The Neatherly kid is a much better athlet and more of a dominator. You beat us fair and square, you should with that talent, what I said is that you are good for this area, not real good in the big picture.  I am not whining about it, just not very classy fans sitting on one end of the floor, and I hear that they are even worse when playing at home.  The dirty comment had to do with the elbows that were being thrown when the defense was getting tight, it was not Donahoe or the big guy, it was one of the other players.  I agree that the starters played until well into the 4th quarter, donahoe came out with 3 minutes left on a timeout and the others followed.

  4. The big guy did not impress, he is playing against kids that are 6'2 and yet they were taking the ball from him.  That kid should dominate in this area and from what I saw he is the new version of BJ Mclendon from the old Lamar team.  He had several blocks against smaller kids, big deal.  He is very slow, not very aggressive and puts the ball on the floor everytime he gets it down low.  A good team would eat his lunch just like St Thomas did.  He could not even dunk consistently in warm ups.  The Donahoe kid was very smooth and seems like a good kid.  HJ does tend to play dirty though and do not like in your face basketball.  I think they will do fine in our local "basketball powerhouse" are but they are not a great team and I would be really surprised for them win one game in the playoffs, assuming they even make them.

  5. How do you define best fans, is it by booing the opposing the kids, is it talking trash to the other side, is it having the referees have to threaten to kick fans out, if that is the definition then by far HJ has the best of this category.  Whatever happened to going to the games and enjoying it.  Maybe I am just getting old but I remember when the game used to be about the kids not about seeing how rude you could be to the opposing team and fans.

  6. Biggest lead was 30 points, OF outscored them 34-30 in second half.  It was your typical football game, freshmen game had one ref, they should kick him out of the association.  I understand that it is difficult to call with one official, but he did not even have a clue as to the game.  the OF freshmen won this game, should have been by 10.  His mess continued into the jv game until he was rescued by 2 real referees.  Why do people join the association and fail to show up for their games?

  7. I know that I will hear alot of grief about this but if OF continues to play it's game and keep improving they have the potential to make some noise.  Coach Wrinkle does not get enough credit for the job he is doing over there.  They have a great group of guys that are playing great team basketball, and are beginning to understand what it takes to win.  Good luck bobcats.
