1.
Please stop predicting success for HJ.
Why would you tell a person not to predict success for a team? They are high school kids why would you not want them to be successful you act like he is putting down another team, he is just being supportive of the team he wants to win.
 2. HJ was evenely matched with Cleveland last year in my opinion and HJ won, this year I think HJ losing Turner was more crucial than Cleveland losing Kris Ross and Jamaul Ross (if he is still out?) I think Cleveland has got the stronger team this season and man can they shoot the basketball!
 3.

So liberty lost?
No....they took a beating......BH was up by 30 in the 4th and the first 2 Liberty fans that were asked to leave walked out shooting the finger to the BH crowd.....nice job.
BH is terrible watch them go undefeated at home and lose every single away game, it's possible considering they always find away to get the refs on their side
 4.
if u were at the game you'd understand. bh shot like 50 free throws... literally... and did anyone else notice that at every break (half time, time-outs, etc.) that one ref was at the bench with bh talking with the coach. first time i've ever seen a ref that breaks with the team... wish we had the film so all you open minded un biased fans could judge for urself without all of our biased opinions. i really wanna know how everyone else saw the game. not juss liberty or bh fans for obvious reasons...
Yeah, I would like to hear that too, cuz from the Liberty point of view it was the worse reffed varsity game ive seen.
 5.
both teams were talented. think its was def. the worst reffed game ive eva seen in my life, but still think liberty would have lost had the calls been accurate based on their performance. think liberty wins 7/10 but bh was the better team last night...
yeah thats true good post oh well at least the loss was early on in the season and liberty can use it to see their mistakes and get em fixed before district starts.
 6.
Good luck to your Panthers.......#10 can shoot the ball
The whole team can shoot, and play defense and just basically all around good basketball coaches don't put players out there that they dont trust so yeah he can shoot, and he can make free throws too, to bad everytime he drove the lane and drew the foul the foul wasnt called oh well bh will get it handed to them in district and hopefully liberty willl use this game, since it was their first loss, to see there are some weeknesses but the panthers have a great coach so they WILL be fixed by district and they should have a good season
 7. 2 questions, when if at all will Jamaul Ross be healthy to play? And is Cedric Reed not playing basketball this season?
 8.
My opinion.....hustle is usually rewarded.......BH got alot of points on rebound and put backs with a foul for a 3 point play. Some ticky tack fouls both ways but not a 30 point difference
yes, hustle is rewarded, and Coach Woods does a great job with the players conditioning and hustle. Of all Liberty teams i've watched in the last few years, this team hustles the most, and its really sad to see a group of kids deprived of a basketball game due to poor referees. Call it how you want it eagle you can say im just jealous, but man to man Liberty had the better atheletes and the most skill, Barbers Hill may have been better at the free throw line but idk because liberty wasnt put their all night and bh stayed on the line we were up in the begining and our players are very well conditioned so they didnt just fall apart the refs and sure some hustle by the bh players and some good plays in the paint won this game but i believe liberty was the better team
 9.

So liberty lost?
No....they took a beating......BH was up by 30 in the 4th and the first 2 Liberty fans that were asked to leave walked out shooting the finger to the BH crowd.....nice job.
liberty was pounding bh in the 1st till the refs put on there white and blue jerseys and went to work and correction the first fan went out shooting the finger he was wrongly removed the 2nd did not say anything
 10. Poorly reffed game on all levels the refs clearly favored bh and several liberty fans were ejected on the fact that ladies in the stands over exaggerated to the cops and they took there word for it and without seeing anything ejected a fan 2 more fans were later ejected
 11.
Question is are they playing at the same level as HJ or Silsbee? Because right now they have owned the region the past few years
hj? Good thing liberty isn't playing up tp hj's level being that hj is 1-2 now silsbee idk its hard to tell thes early on with only 3 games played for the panthers, yes they won all 3 and are looking impressive but I haven't seen silsbee this year
 12.

Good luck to Silsbee, let's hope HJ and Silsbee can each have another good season and represent SETX in the regional tournament once again.
??? ???
I posted this before they merged the threads, the previous thread was just the pregame talks, and after it started they merged the threads.
 13. Good luck to Silsbee, let's hope HJ and Silsbee can each have another good season and represent SETX in the regional tournament once again.
 14. There's the fact that Dayton has 2 players still in football, and also the fact that Liberty is a much better basketball team than last year. Oh and also Dayton's superstar athelete number 12 the tall guy was removed from the game for going into the stands to confront a 15 year old who was talking crap  :D :D
 15. As much as I want to say Anahuac, Crockett only lost to Coldspring 42-41 now to score 41 points on the Trojans is no small achievement this offense must be powerful and ill take Crockett in this one
 16. is the best time of year Texas HS playoffs ... WOS v.s Brookshire Royal Friday night, Pearland v.s Westbrook Saturday afternoon, Dayton v.s Kingwood Park Saturday night haha Go Brookshire,Westbrook, and the Broncos
 17. Lets go HJ hope they have another good season but this time get to state!
 18. Darrin Edwards-Liberty He had over 1500 yards rushing on the season.
 19. Yeah, I saw that after i already posted, Chron.com says Edwards is the leading rusher in 22-3A but SETX says Cummings and they get there stats from Chron, Beaumont Interprise and other places so I really dont know who has more.
 20. Liberty's JV is 7-2 with losses to Splendora 29-6 and Huffman i believe was 20 something to 0. They will play in Coldspring tomorow. I heard CS has lost to Splendora and Huffman as well and im sure Kirbyville does anyone know anything?
 21.
Edwards may be Libertys team MVP but no where is closed to being the district MVP, Deberry and Cummings are not only their team leaders, but they've been the area leaders for most of the season, one outstanding game dont compare to a whole season.
The Cleveland game was not ONE outstanding game, Edwards has around 1,400 rushing yards this season, which is more than Cummings, so yes you can say well Cummings shares carries and Edwards doesn't, so if he is sharing carries he is not the districts most valuable player, the award should go to Edwards because he plays, and leads his team in defense, and yes Deberry leads his offense, but he has Wittwher, Martin, Julian, and Grey that all do alot of the work for him, Edwards on the other hand shares the yards with the passing attack, but the ground game and the defense is his.
 22. Darrin Edwards Liberty has around 1400 yards on the ground this season and is in 2nd place in the district in Touchdowns. He rushed for 327 Friday against Cleveland so surely he will be thrown in there somewhere.
