82 5A State Champs

Besides Central and Ozen, maybe WO-S, or Katy, or Lufkin, or Nederland, or maybe even Lumberton. All of these school would be good preseason competition for West Brook! Houston Booker T, Washington, Yates, Galveston Ball, or even Cy-Falls comes to mind. ;D

I would love to see that preseason series for L-town! (by the way, West Brook-two words.)

one of the main reasons that WB lost to Humble and Channelview was because thay got so beat up in the PAM game. The Titans played Brook very well, but VERY physical, and it took out some of our top defensive starters for the next couple of weeks. Once they returned, we started winning again.

Both of our kickers have DEFINITELY improved since the Ozen game in Week 0. You need a kicking game in order to be a well rounded ball club. Good job guys!

I would have to agree, especially since hearing that his replacement from the jv team is supposedly just as fast as he was. If the new boot being pulled up turns out to be effective at running the ball, it wouldn't make sense to push his recovery.

well, we don't know HOW bad it is. If it's only a minor tear, he could, possibly play with a brace on his knee. If the MRI reveals damage to the lateral miniscus(the ligament on the back of the knee, I think) he would probably be done for the year. I'm no doctor, I'm just going off of what I was told. The next question would be.....how much of his senior year does he want to try and salvage, and in the process, possibly risk further injury. What do you guys think, should he play?

I just spoke to the head trainer over at WB (Chip), he said at the very least that Albert has a torn ACL. The results of the MRI today will tell us just how bad it is and how damaged his lateral miniscus is. If the miniscus is not bad, he may be able to continue to play with a brace on. The MRI results will tell us more. He will likely be out for at least a couple of weeks.

I know for a fact that there will be at least one HS in the area that would get hit hard, should they be tested. What are the penalties, should a player on a team test positive?

fortunately for WB, they've got another RB just as good in Michael, that is more than capable of dismantling the Lee defense. Will you be at the game on Friday?

dat-hook-em and FPHS78, didn't you two guy's read what was posted by WBFan09.....WB did NOT have a backup RB on varsity, or he would have been in there. So stop it with the "should have been taken out" thing. I'm sure if Stump could change things now, he would. Since he can't, it's all water under the bridge and Williams will be back. So let's just concentrate on this weeks game against Lee, OK. Thanks

I think WB wins this one....maybe not easy, but a win nonetheless. If memory serves me correctly, didn't Central beat Lee in week 0? Then WB beat Central the next week by more than two scores(34-17). Panama, I know you're a big Gander fan, but unless they're serving ice water in hell this week, the Ganders will be 2-1 in district after Friday night!
