2.
I do believe that BH should begin to now lower there sites and realize money can't buy all. There are plenty of quality coaches out there, but I believe BH is reaching beyond reality in the coaches they are targeting.
This is a pretty lame comment too?  Why would you ever lower your sites on anything in life.  Swing for the moon man, swing for the moon.  You'll never hit a homerun if you never swing the bat so BH, continue to try and get the best....The school district and the kids deserve nothing less!!!!
Hillguy, are you kiddin' me?????  How are the young men, mentally speaking I mean???
They're fine (and thanks for asking!)...and better prepared for the ugly side of life now I guess.  >:( You know, this kind of crap just p!@$#$ me off!!!! 5.
WOW  Pages of posts.    What an embarrassment for some of us that live on the Hill.  I seldom post because most of the time the topic goes off subject.  I do read them from time to time for some of the smack talk is funny (PNG) and sometimes there are entertaining observations.  But, the subject for this one is 'Who will be the next Barbers Hill HC'.  It is not whether we have D1 athletes or if we like Don or when I played... or if the we go tell someone to go 'eat an apple'.  If you want to know why he was asked to resign, go ask DR. Poole.  If you want to know how the Board members voted then go ask them.  Go to an extracurricular activity, you can also find a Board member there.  Express your thoughts and get theirs. But, what ever you do stop lambasting things that go on at The Hill.  You may not agree with all the decisions for seldom is there ever a majority that does.  If you get involved and be a part of system then you may have justifiable comments which could actually impact things that happen before it happens.  You may find that the more involved you are, the more proud you will be of our community. Coach Price, thank you for your years of commitment to Barbers Hill and we wish you the best of luck. Now... 'Who Will Be The Next Barbers Hill HC? Hopefully we get some applicants from some top schools.  The OC Green at Lake Travis is a good fit, or the DC Thomas at Denton Ryan.  Maybe Poole could get some of the guys from the Woodlands here.  Would it not be nice to think that in order to draw that type of personnel we need, perhaps turf could be back on the docket.
Good post BHPride!!!!!!!!!!!
 6.
I will not say on this board what Hall has done in the past.  I know for a fact things happened because it happened when I was in school in the 90's.  She would not be a good for BH.  Yes she won, but she also had quite a few D1 basketball players.  Also, she did not have to compete with volleyball so she got her players year round.  I have nothing personally against her, I just would not want her coaching my daughter if I had one.
Well Stranger, PVT me so you don't have to be so cryptic.  Like I said, I grew-up with her and if she's being run through the mud, I would like to know.  IF you PVT me, then this board won't see it.  How 'bout it?
 7. Ok, somebody enlighten me please about Pennee Hall.  Someone wrote earlier that she did something unethical or illegal. (just IM me please)  Is this documented or is it hearsay?  Secondly, other than the Hillians who actually KNOW her personally, like myself since I grew-up with her, are you just speculating that as an AD she wouldn't be worth a flip because she would have her own agenda - Girls Basketball???  In my opinion, and it's only MY opinion, I think she has the ability to be a good AD and knowing her roots and the fact that she is a native, why would she NOT want to see the football program excel???  She's not stupid, trust me!  Now, I will say I have been away a long time and alot can change, but man, where's the hate coming from?  And to say she wasn't a good coach????  I don't think you can win a state championship in any sport as a HC without the ability to get the best from your kids.....  Now, if whatever she did is illegal or unethical and is not a good role model, then yes, I would say that should probably keep her out - good coach or AD candidate aside.....
 8. Well, I don't have a dog in this hunt but I'm a 3rd generation Hillian and I'll tell you this.  Yes, we do have some overzealous parents and always have.  Show me a school that doesn't!  Yes, politics play a part in HS sports...show me a school that doesn't!  Has Price done a good job at the Hill...obviously, his record speaks the fact!  But hey guys, sometimes you have to force the issue or you never get any better and that's in EVERYTHING - your own life included!!!  The fact is now we go foward, hating Price or hating the school board - moot point, decision made.  BHFan is passionate about what he witnessed on the field and for him, didn't like Price's style (and I concur about the whole adjustments comments.)  BH34 thought highly of the man and that's his perogative too.  But guys and gals of the Hill that bleed Royal Blue...we move on and we support the new regime, whomever it may be!!  Guys in the GT area, thanks for your interest in the Hill, that shows you care :), and Golden Triangle, your comment is neither respected nor appreciated and was totally not called for on this board.  Everybody has an opinion but to tell somebody on here to shut up....
 9.
Your Price's, Evans', Martel brothers, Valastro's are hard to come by.  With the politics on the Hill, I hope they can find someone good to replace Coach Price!!! Living in Chambers County, politics are thick and hopefully it won't cause a problem, I'm sure it will, because the KIDS need someone there who is a coach on and off the field!!!  Good Luck BH
Ah heck...show me an Optimist Club program, a little league baseball league, or high school board ANYWHERE where there aren't politics involved in some capacity!!!!  It's everywhere!!!!!! Hey Hillguy, is there chance cuz' would come to the Hill????
 10.
I have seen PN-G multiple times and this was not they're best showing but give credit to BH you're team played with a ton of heart. I'm a proud Indian but my job sways me from being just a fan. They are not the most talented team in the state but they find the ways to win. Faircloth makes great adjustments but he's not Bear Bryant either and he doesn't act like it. I respect 19-4A they play hard. I'll take the heart of a good team over skill players any day. I hope my Indian faithful takes a step back and embraces the role of underdog despite being undefeated. If you listened to Faircloth when he got here he said he wants to embrace the past but not live in it and he also said Nederland is just another district game. I respect that he is a lot like my baseball coach when I was there Jay Stone. Last weeks win doesn't win this week. Good luck to all SE Texas teams and that includes 19-4A
Thank you!
 11. Well, there you have it.  I guess all you 20-4a fans are correct.  Your #1&2 beat our #3&4 by a combined 1 more point than our #1&2 beat your #3&4!  I concede, y'all have the best district! >:(
 12. Good job Eagles, you made them work for it!  Wasn't over at the 1/2, wasn't a blow-out, the Indians had to work and work they did.  However, the weaklings of 19-4a made a good showing so keep your heads up.  PNG...good win, congrats and good luck down the road.
 13.

PNG 21 - BH 7 - 2:07 Left
Actually this is a pretty good old fashioned beating!
How you figure?  The Eagles gave them all they could handle and with the Indians scoring after an interception on the Eagle 14 with about 2-1/2 minutes left for their 3rd score, doesn't sound like an old fashioned beating to me.  Win, absolutely!!!  Beating... Hardly!!
 14. Yeah, they're ahead, but who'd thought they both would be hangin' so tight, so late in the game.  After all the rhetoric, both should have been blown-out by now!
 15. You know, I too can understand how thrilled some of Dayton's followers are that they have such a lock on whichever district they may happen to be in in 4 or 5 years.  Yes, from all your posts this year, we see how awesome your 7th and 8th grade teams are.  Congratulations, and I'm sincere with that!  However, that said, 4 or 5 years is a long time  and ANYTHING can happen. Any school can have  one or two "super" players that move-in or move-out, you can have a handful of young men that simply don't mature as quickly as some and all of sudden, "wow, who are they and where did they come from?" and they've been there all along getting pummeled by the early bloomers in their class.  That can be said for HS level kids as well. Any HS can have kids that can play varsity as a sophmore and some of the kids in that same sophmore class are just beginning to physically mature.  Then, when they're all at the varsity level at the same time it looks like a whole different ballclub.  I think the last scenario is quite true now. I'm sure ALL schools have moved talent up and down based on their needs this year so whose to say, really.  It's all hope.  Yes, Dayton had a GRAND time with BH this year -  "running the table" in ALL classes, but there are just too many variables to say that Dayton will OWN any team from now on.  You may, but I don't possibly see how you can make that claim.  The Hillguy knows what I'm talking about, remember Willis?  (yes, we're old farts) I'm just sayin' kids grow and mature at different rates; kids move-in and out of schools, coaches come and go so to assume that any team will forever own another is ludicrous.
 16. Thanks for posting the video.  As for as the call, I too feel as if it were the right call...no bias here even though I'm an Eagle.  I was in state the week before and watch GCM dismantle the Eagles.  This little video showed me a whole bunch about the Eagles that I questioned the week before.  I'm sure Crosby is a good team and we'll see just how good tonight; but beg to differ with most that if the Broncos played the Coogs on any other night, the game would have been much different.  I think the outcome could have been totally different.  I can't say that about the GMC/BH game though, but one thing for sure, both of these teams looked pretty dadgum good on this video.
 17. ...and another thing. Perhaps these other posters "calling out the coaches" as everybody likes to call it, knows these young men are much more capable than what they're displaying, week in and week out. I just feel bad for the kids who've I've witnessed on occasion. Perhaps they feel they're not getting everything due them, and well...it's sort of like Reagan's Trickle Down Theory... To quote I'mjussayin' "I'm just sayin'!"
 18. PurplePride, I'm sure your comment wasn't directed at my post...well, maybe a little. But in defense of the fellow Eagle posters on here, who have been begging for better coaching, I will ask you one simple question. Does Stewart and his staff roam the sideline, regardless of whether the Broncos are winning or losing, and coach their kids during the game, or fire them up, or get in their face when they need to? My bet is yes and that they do not stand off by themselves and look totally mystified like they have never seen the team they're playing or the scheme they're playing before! Does Price know his stuff??? Perhaps. Does Price know how to get his team prepared? Well, that's suspect from the couple of games I HAVE witnessed. Go read my post again. I said I saw very little on field leadership. That's a gut check Purple from the young men out there laying at all out. I'm sure you played in your hayday and my bet is that you got fired-up each game or YOU wouldn't be on here like the rest of us reliving our glory years through these kids. I'm not bashing these young men at all before somebody squawks on here to leave these young guys alone. I'm just saying they better start relying on themselves to get fired-up and motivated because leaving it to this staff, in my honest opinion, isn't going to happen and that's a sad, sad, tale! But I for one feel coaching these young men is more than teaching the x's and the o's, it's about motivation and inspiration and attributes that will take these young men way farther than the football field, and well frankly, I didn't see it last night, that's for sure! Go Eagles...find the fire, find the desire and let's go give Dayton a football game!!!!
 19. Ohhhh I shudder to think about next week. The mighty Broncs coming off a loss to none other but the Cougars from Crosby???? They ain't gonna be very hospitable to the Eagles and I guarantee if our boys can't find some way to light a fire under their butts, it's gonna get real ugly, real fast!!!! > > >
 20. What coaching? They all stood on the sideline by themselves? C'mon, coaching HAS to happen on Friday night too!!!!!
