  1. TD Raiders.....Starting to sound dreadfully like last week. TO's will kill you EVERY time! 29-17, another missed PAT.
  2. int Lumberton, Raider's ball at the Hill 2 yrd line.
  3. Lumberton 23-17 with about 8:29 3rd qtr. BH blocked pat.
  4. How accurate...as accurate as the Enterprise could be. One, there is no such thing as Mount Belvieu (Mont) and second, no way 48 -0 at half much less, 82 -0 at the end. Fiction...ain't it GREAT????
  5. Is the scoreboard just a generic scoreboard again, or did we get something nice???? Since I'm too far away to pop-over and see, somebody please let me know. I'm hoping to catch a game in October when I'm back home, so I do appreciate all of y'alls posts; this wayward Eagle appreciates it ...and I do hope the Eagles take it to Lumberton!
  6. You guys are FUNNNNNNYYYYYY!!! Actually, the Hill and Dayton, for those who haven't been around either team from years back, have had a GREAT rivalry and it was really too bad that the coaches wouldn't schedule each other. I know when I played, we got UP UP UP to play Dayton. Could be because they have always been a classification higher than we were, or maybe because my junior year, we got most of their coaching staff; but nonetheless, we wanted to beat Dayton like a drum. (Probably what will happen to the Hill this year, but you know, it's all ok). The last 16 years of playing one another, tied 8-8 and the last time the played was I think in '87. Let the rivalry begin anew!!!!!
  7. Hey ETBU, I'm not laying the blame on the losses on the coaches UNLESS it's warranted. Reread the post. I am raising the issue that perhaps we don't have the talent necessary to compete this year, well...WIN with the talent we have this year. When a team with the tradition of The Hill, who expects to win, year-in and year-out, doesn't; well of course we're all going to start second-guessing the coaches or trying to find other reasons why we're not successful. Thus is High School Football in Texas and I miss watching it every Friday night. I love the Hill, I love the tradition and of course I want to see them do well and I don't want to make excuses as to why we're not successful. I just asked a question hoping that those that have the ability to watch a game could enlighten me as to why we're not winning. Nothing more, nothing less.
  8. Hey BHFan, I don't think anybody thinks you're disrespecting Lumberton at all. Nobody likes to lose; not the fans, not the parents and certainly not those young men laying it on the line on Friday or Saturday nights. And yes, it's real easy for us to sit in the stands (or via the internet) and armchair coach. It just sounds like from the updates on this thread, that Lumberton was prepared to play tonight, and well, we were not. I just feel bad for those boys to work hard in practice everyday just to be set-up for failure because our coaching staff can't or won't make the necessary adjustments if it indeed, that is the cause. Outplayed by more talented teams though...well, not much we can do about that is there?
  9. Wow, sounds like we have an AWESOME offense this year. Tell me fellas, since I don't get to watch but 1 game a year when I get to make it back to the hill...is the problem the offensive scheme, wrong players in the wrong position, or is our talent level just that far behind our competition every week. Next week will be way beyond UGLY I'm afraid!!!!!
  10. No, it's one in the same. We couldn't afford one...lol
  11. Thanks ...Soulja for the game summary...wished I could have been there myself and appreciate your props for our young men. Sounds like great game regardless of which sideline one is on and it also sounds like props should go both ways. Thanks for your post.

Go get em big bro! OUCH!!! ;D Way to hang Eagles...and Central, great poise to come back on our Eagles like that in the 4th!
  13. Ah now son, why would you want to say something imbicilic like that. If a team loses, it's not because the winning team paid-off the refs; it's more probably the team was outhustled, outcoached, and flat out outplayed. Congrats to Dayton for a good season. Congrats to BH for a good season and congrats to Bay City and good luck on down the road. Cheez!
  14. Now, was that so hard??? Congrats Central and keep the momentum next week against LaMarque.
  15. yeah, you're right. We're done and your team goes on for another week. Too bad you were never taught how to be a good winner!
  16. hey PP, do you have a contact at the game with a cell phone?
