Yea I worked as a Regional Rental Mgr for Enterprise Rent A Car for 7yrs and alway bought my cars from the lease department. Ill take a luxuary model car with 20k or less miles only a year old. Most are hit with a 1st year 10-15k lose in value. If you go new and don't drive much, lease is a better option. Yes, I can out play all of you. Mr. Owens may have to fly to Denver. If he does, I have someone to make up for him. This guy is better than him.

700 note and 7 year finance sounds like he's driving a C320 brand new. Bad buy on his part. Insurance is more than likely 350 a month and I bet he doesn't have rental car coverage. High deductable as well.

FYI never buy a nice car brand new. Certified Preowned is the way to go. Let some other sap pay that new car price. My dad use to own a Ron Carter dealership and schooled me on how to buy a car years ago. Some people do buy cars they know darn well they can't afford. If your car note is more than 600 a month, no matter what you mak,e your getting robbed. Finance it over 36-48 months  throw cash and a trade down as well. The guy who bought the Mercedes is driving to pick up chicks. He can't be married.

Had a trade in on a 2006 Lexus LS 400 that I got 19k in trade B. Company pays for car insurance C. I have lived in my home for 6 years and we now own it. Maybe your friend just can't afford it! I'm not a 30k millionaire.
