There is a kid visiting his relatives in Silsbee from New Orleans this week. He is  6'5 and a junior at Washington Heights High. Can't go into detail but due to his dad taking a job in Port Arthur and his family living in Silsbee he could be moving down before August 1st. Last name is Turner. He averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds last year. Stay tuned. He can also jump thru the roof according to his older brother.

The best coaching staffs in the area always make a strong playoff run. West Orange, Kirbyville, Jasper, PNG, West Brook, and Central all have years where they got 3-4 rounds deep. I would love to see teams like Silsbee, Ozen, and LCM make stronger playoff runs. I have watched each and everyone of these play over the past 4 years and I can tell you the coaching staffs make just as much as a difference as the players. What if a WOS staff could take over a LCM team. Would that make a difference?

Who are some standout or possible D1 players?

Jeremy Johnson will be named the starting QB for Lamar. There is a reason they recruited him from West Virgina. Playing in the SLC will help him vs playing at WV.
