No it's all on name recognition. Very bias on who goes and doesn't go. There are players who are just as good if not better that don't get the invite. AAU coaches run these events!

For the women I think it use to be called the Kodak All American game and Laquan Stallworth and Brandi McCain played in it.

SETX hasn't had a player inn the game since Perkins 03. Only other local player I remember in this game was Stephen Jackson in 96.

Will Johnson be the starter next season? He needed a year to learn the offense and get himself get comfortable with the team. No excuses because I believe it's his time to shine. Dual threat QB who can lead Lamar to a 6 win season.

Seems like they brought there A game last night vs Silsbee. How far do you see them going in the playoffs? Saw some highlights looks like they have some size and speed.

In Region 3 you have Mexia, Sealy, Hardin Jefferson, Brookshire, Silsbee, and Navasota all playing for one spot to get to Austin. Could make one heck of a Huntsville outing next month.

I don't see anyone in district going undefeated.

I agree! I think Silsbee coaching staff needs to get some love on getting these guys up for this game. Coming off a emotional high like Friday vs a very good WOS team last night had to be tough. Great Job Sigler, Collins, and Brooks.

Silsbee 3 point shooting has been bad all years. With this many guards and no real size, they need to hit some of these to win playoff games.

I agree with Nash. Do you think Sutherland would have put HJ in the YMBL if he knew his team was going to be this good. 27-1 0-1 is better than 37-1 coming home in the playoffs. With 3A being so loaded it is going to be a heck of a challenge for Silsbee or HJ to get to state.
