How is it a stretch? Kountze plays in mabye the softest district for basketball in the state. The teams they play in district wouldn't make a good JV in 3A. There is a chance they won't make it out the second round! They have one quality win all year. 2 if u count them beating Silsbee's JV squad.

Silsbee, Central, HJ, Ozen are all better than Kountze. You don't agree!

This years Kountze team  is maybe the 5th best team in SETX. Jack Yates  plays about 9 deep. When they.do jack up all those 3's the two 6'6 kids clean the glass. Kountze's press wont even phase Yates. They did well against the press from Travis. Kountze might have to pull out of their press early! In a half court game it will be embarrassing.

How bout if u lose by more than 20 you delete yours. This isnt some David vs Goliath match up. David hadvsa shoot! This is more likve the 95/96 Bulls vs Lamar. Great game to give Kountze a challenge but  useless for Yates. They have better competition in practice. Kountze has a better chance at beating the Washinton Wizards than they do Yates. Stephenville is very skilled from the inside and outside. They don't like to run at all.

A full HJ team beat the mess out of Kountze. Silsbee had a 26 point lead and still beat HJ.. If anyone thinks Kountze will benefit from playing Yates your crazy! Yates ia better off playing Travis of Bush over in Fort Bend. Kountze should play someone like Central, Silsbee,, or Navasota.

Kountze would lose by 15 plus to Silsbee.. They will lose by 30 plus to Yates. Playing at the Fonde is like playing at the old Silsbee middle school. Fonde has no working AC but a great place for pick up ball. It is in Yates back yard. There alumni would fill the gym in 5 minutes.

Will this happen? Can coach Sigler and Joubert make this happen at Fors Park? Would be great for both schools.

One thing to point out about Yates is they have a ton of turnovers and they shoot free throws as a team about 40%. They force a ton of turnovers but a team than can control the ball and rebound well can beat them. Saw them play last week. They had about 6 dunks but they shoot very poorly from the outside. You must crash the boards and not throw the ball away.
