Shepherd people get their feelings hurt easy I see.  Settle down!!!  I have seen posts on this page that look the exact same, from the same people, just a week apart.  Hopefully the outcome will be the same, with smiley and the cheerleader eating crow while their team is sitting at home and all of the teams they talk crap about are playing 21-3a.

Liberty's folks can't talk any more smack about the district title or even about making the playoffs, but they can enjoy two weeks of wins over Tarkington and Shepherd before heading into the offseason.

Liberty is a solid football team and has had some hard luck during district.  The Horns just lack a supporting cast around Brooks.  Good luck to both teams.

Many ways this one can go.  Tullos and those guys over there have turned a Cleveland program from last year that couldn't come close to winning a football game and made a pretty solid first year out of it already and still building.  Congrats to them.  Coldspring on the other hand, year in and year out has the best athletes in the district but have lacked the discipline to just roll over everyone.  I think that has also changed this year with the switch in coaches.  Good luck to both teams.  I call a close one, athletes against athletes.

Silsbee is still in the hunt if they beat kirbyville and then it comes down to the last game to see if it is Jasper or Silsbee to meet Splendora.

Hey - FiredUp - As the old saying goes "I ain't seen any of Splendora's graveyards".  IF you don't understand that means in Football Lingo - Just who has Splendora beat that makes you think they are so great.  They have also only won 3 games .  If you comapare all the mutual teams they have played including Cleveland Liberty did better is 2 of these as they played Diboll and Hamshire Fannett Liberty faired better - Scored more and help the other team to less.  So just why do you feel that Splendora will even beat Liberty with their best players on the field and a overpowering 3 - 4 team records - with these facts ???

Cleveland wins out????  Counting your eggs before they hatch?  You still have to play Coldspring too!  Why does Cleveland have a chance to beat them and Splendora doesn't?? Just a little wierd to me.

Liberty better not take these guys lightly.  They came back within 12 of Splendora in the second half.  They don't have quit in them as they did last year.  I say Cleveland in a close one but a high scoring game.  42-40.  Good luck to the players and the Coaching staff.

This is a must win for both teams in order to have a sure place for the playoffs. Both teams have improved through predistrict and are looking to win.  Cleveland is looking for their first win of the season and Splendora is looking for their third.  Good luck to both teams.

When I was in highschool about four students from a rival town came to our stadium the night before and threw buckets of paint down our stands and burned a huge T with diesel in our field.  Upon doing this prank, the security guard came up and all fled.  One slipped on the paint that he was pouring, falling down the stands and broke his leg, another tried to make it through the woods and was caught in barb wire and couldn't move.

diboll would roll over kville in a heartbeat and they will roll through pretty much anyone they face for the rest of the year. they are very, very good this year.  Reminds me of diboll in the late 90's when Hadnot, and Vibandor (I think that was the QB's name) was there.  They are tough.

Kountze by as many as they want.  Anahuac is undisciplined and they have no depth.

Splendora is the underdog no matter where they go or who they play, besides Tarkington.  No one will ever give them a chance.  If the D staunches up and that offense does what it has been doing for 2 weeks now it should be a close game.  I agree with Luke that there will have to be some turnovers in the Cats favor for them to come out on top.  Diboll scored at will against Coldspring.  Lets hope for the cats that they can't score at will against them.  GATA CATS

I had a chance to watch those big boys and they are good.  I love the wing T offense and they run it beautifully.  good Job big nasties.  give em heck.

Letting him throw it all of last year really worked alot didn't it?  He could very well go state record and bust at the same time. Their running game looks better this year than them running the spread and only the spread ever did.   

Yeah woodville shut their nice ones down thanks to Splendoras antics. . .way to leave a hole in the wall wildcats.

what are tarkington's dressing rooms  like we head there this week... and yes splendora's dressin rooms are some of the finest around

if they send you to the same ones we have always gone to. it is small and across the street from the stadium, which is about as cruddy as the locker room.  You have to walk through an entrance gate to get to the field which is usually riddled with rednecks that talk trash.  it will be a tight squeeze and hot at Tarkington unless they stick you somewhere different than we have dressed in the past.
