  1. Matt Wilson has switched his commitment to Texas Tech, Went on his official visit last weekend and decided that Tech was the right fit for him. Great recruiting job by Coach Tuberville and OL coach Matt Moore, congrats to Matt Wilson.
  2. Congratulations to Coldsprings OT Matt Wilson on being named first team all Greater Houston, this is really an honor being that its all classes combined, this goes along with being first team all district and honorable mention all state, not bad for a kid who missed his Jr. year with a broken ankle. What a way to fight back and work thru your injury, we are proud for you.
  3. First off, let me start by saying congrats to all these area kids who were selected to the 3a all state team, all of you are really good football players or you wouldn't have been there, don't let anyone take away from you what you've earned, most of the people on this site couldn't hold your jock, so cherish your achievement and carry it to the next level, again congratulations.
  4. because I have never seen 2000 people show for a spelling bee! FOOTBALL IS BIG MONEY
  5. Took time Friday night to look around and notice just how many people we had on our side of the stadium cheering for coldspring, there were parents and students from towns we didn't even play this year and people from schools that we beat this year, all helping us cheer for the TROJANS, I would like to say thanks for showing up and helping us during our playoff run, sure shows alot of class from alot of people in southeast texas. GO TROJANS
  6. he has done a super job at Kville, im sure he'll do well at Newton as their head man, good luck and congrats.
  7. First off congrats to Kville on a super season, there are alot of teams wished they could have went three deep, Coldspring was just too deep and over all the better team, but I'm not gonna come on here and beat my chest and brag about our kids beating your kids, but for all of you that were saying that Kville was going to beat us by 30 or so, welllllllllllllll, get in line and get your crow, we got it baked, broiled, fried, stewed,on a stick, kabobs, sauteed and just about any way you will eat it, so dont be shy, step on up and get your healthy helping and eat it like a man, and by the way thanks for your support in the future!
  8. Well I finally made it back from my hunting trip, got an axis doe, a cull 8 point and a monster 14 point that will score between 175 and 180, congrats to me! well back to football, I think my beloved Trojans will win this one by 21, I hope they don't get caught up looking to next for the Kville game, and by the way Coldspring and Huffman was almost a month ago, SHUT UP and move on, there's still alot of football left, GOOD LUCK to all the SETX area teams.
  9. Will be watching Coldspring vs. Bridge City friday night then off to South Texas to hopefully watch a solid 150-160 class whitetail on my 5 day bow hunt
  10. Coldspring will this one by 28, talked to the 3 BC coaches scouting CS friday night and said that they didn't know how they were gonna stop CS.
  11. Did you say jv, get your butt back to class and start paying attention to your teacher, give us a break with this jv crap.
  12. Glbert is the other running back, defensive back, kickoff/punt returner for Coldspring. It might be  hard to consider Sherman because he missed the first 3 games of the year with a broken hand, I don't know if that will be taken into consideration since those were not district games, but he has over 800 yards in 7 games,
  13. Edwards may be Libertys team MVP but no where is closed to being the district MVP, Deberry and Cummings are not only their team leaders, but they've been the area leaders for most of the season, one outstanding game dont compare to a whole season.
  14. Well the line at the county library finally died down and I'm glad ,been standing there since the game ended Friday night, now let me start with, what a game! Huffman was as good as their record showed, Deberry and his recievers are really on the same page, and their defense was well prepared for us. Coldspring made a few more better plays than Huffman did,the refs were equally bad both ways, the Trojans secondary was better than everyone thought, you can say coulda, woulda, shoulda it doesn't matter now, congrats to Coldspring and I wish Huffman the best of luck in the playoffs, they will surely represent the district well. By the way Beechnuts the "pulpwood" bussiness is really slow, but I've come up with a few ways you can help  1) get all of your kin folk to trade in all of their old trailer houses on some new ones, 2) lay down some new pallets and plywood from the highway to their new trailers, 3) stop cutting your own firewood for your wood heater, 4) stop using old port-a-cans for your deer stands and portable buildings, 5) stop using your sleaves and cut off underware for papertowels and toilet paper, dont worry about saving a tree, do your part and buy some " new " wood products. Thanks
  15. just like when coldspring struggled offensively against kirbryville, huffman's defensive strategy kept coldspring off-balance all night. Our defense kept us in the game, and if we want to go far in the playoffs, we must start scoring more than 29 points on a team like huffman.
  16. Big Mo is not the first kid to move into Yates  school district just to play for Wise, Trey Bennett moved there from Milby and Shai Fields Pearland,Luthern North, and who knows where else he was before that to come play at Yates this year. I think they try to use their "magnet school" statis to cheat a little, but it sure was pretty suspicious that Big Mo played his summer league ball for the Houston Select, and I wonder who the coach of the select was? it was COACH WISE
  17. Well BOSSHOG, I just asked the question, because there is a difference a basketball coach and an AAU idiot, most people who coach AAU think that are basketball coaches, but are not, they are AAU idiots, all the want to do is run, run, run, gun, gun, gun and press from start to finish, that is not real basketball, you don't ever see colleges do that, sorry, if you are an AAU coach.
  18. What kind of offense/defense does he run? is he true high school basketball coach or an AAU idiot?
  19. Shepherd only scored once against Coldspring, it was in the third quarter after they were up by 40 points and the Trojans 2nd and 3rd string players were in. Coach Barbay won't usually leave his starters in just to make his stats look better, no sense in kicking a dead horse!
