Had a front row seat to the talent LM had last year and it wasnt nice. Dont know who all they lost but I think they got the right coach to carry on the tradition. The question is will he get a chance to build a program or just ride the talent horse to tha stables? The coaching situation in LM is crazy but I like when there are high expectations (state or bust). I guess time will tell but Dr. Jackson is a great hire and LM should be happy to have a coach of that caliber and given a chance should do some good things in LM.

In football 7 on 7 that is getting popular is more like a "combine" and would never affect the high school game. Basketball and baseball are different because the "select" teams play with the same rules and the game is the same. What affects a lot of this is the majority of the kids these days are concentrating on one sport so why play with a team of players that are just keeping busy in "off season" instead of a team of players that are dedicated to the one sport. In Texas there is still a sense of "school pride" that will keep the "select" players playing for the school but will play with the select team during off-season. What will affect the high school game is when you start seeing select football teams that field full rosters after all football is king in Texas. IMO ;D
