1. NEVER underestimate the GCM "Whooping Sticks" or a 6 run lead ..... GCM will get it started in 5th. Good luck guys!!
 2. Wow .... First it was absolutely in two games, with the smack talking parents & fans from Nederland going at each other about their own players and then, after BH won the first game, it was smack talking about your own coach's decisions in game 1, the turf at Lamar's field, etc. Now it's back to "fans" .... hmmmmm

Don't talk trash just yet (unless he is pitching against both Galena Park and GCM in the 2nd half and don't under-estimate Dayton).

 10.
WOW!!!!  Just like I said… Merka gets screwed because he plays for Crosby.  The kid is going to TCU and the best he can make is 2nd team!!!!     COME ON!!!  AND DAYTON WINNING ALMOST ALL THE SUPERS!!!!! Off Player of the Year- Jakari Delasbour???? DONT GET ME WRONG HE IS A GREAT PLAYER BUT DIDEN'T HE MISS LIKE 3 GAMES IN DISTRICT?????? WOW!!!   I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!!!   I AM SURE FLANIGAN PUT HIM UP BUT THE COACHES VOTED FOR ANOTHER PLAYER BECAUSE HE PLAYS FOR CROSBY!!  THEY GOT TO BE IDIOTS!!!  COACHES ARE SUPOST TO BE FOR THE KIDS, AND I AM SURE ALL THEY SEE IS THE SCHOOL ON THE FRONT!!!! SHAME ON YOU COACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just goes to show you, there IS A VENDETTA AGINST CROSBY!!!
First of all, I am so sick of hearing about the Vendetta’s against Crosby.  There is not a “vendetta” against Crosby.  If Merka or any other Crosby players didn’t receive the required number of votes, it wasn’t because of any “vendetta”.  Trust me, if Crosby’s players displayed the same lack of character during their other district games, as they did during the BH game that is why they came up short on the votes.  It is a team sport not a one man sport and in order to obtain respect, the players have to deliver it. When Crosby played BH how many times was the ball fumbled?  It was the next to last game of the regular season and the game that determined which team earned 2nd place.  ::) Additionally, how many Unsportsmanlike penalties were called against Crosby during the game (on Crosby’s own field I might add). :-\ The next thing you are going to be claiming on here is that the so-called “Vendetta” had something to do with the lights going out at the stadium that night.  ??? CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE YOUNG MEN WHO MADE 1ST AND 2ND Team All-District!! Additional Options...
 11.
before you jump to conclusions on these last 2 pages look at the whole board and read it all. I had nothing but good things to say until people criticized my OPINION and it was a legitimate roster with good players. Just obviously not the one that everyone wants to hear or see. Got news, Stalbaulm is gone and it is a new program. The better kids will play no matter what age. It will be a good season
REALITY CHECK ..... The better kids aren't the one's who play, it's the BEST kids that will play.  As for the jab at Stalbaum 1)  He had more Sophomores on the team than Juniors and/or Seniors, so that shuts down your comment "no matter what age" 2)  I'm pretty sure that Coach Stalbaum's Success was in large part due to the players he chose to be on all of the Varsity teams over the years.
 12. The returning starters for Barbers Hill are Santana, Asbury, Long, Newcomb, Leggett, Bonin and Thompson.
 13. BH's Kids Who Made All-District 1st Team Offense - Wade Duke Defense - James Bellard 2nd Team Offense - Tyler Newcomb Defense - Jesse Morton
 14.
Wow, WhatHappened? really needs to just shut his mouth. Its one thing to be a fan of BH baseball or a fan of any school but come on! Youre naming out a lineup that has kids that havent played in years. You're putting kids in positions that theyve nevered played and you're acting like BH is some jugernaut that no one can touch. I give you credit for showing enthusiam for BH baseball but you're going a little too far and you can do all the apologizing you want but you dont put kids names up here and bash them. And you did bash him so stop saying it will give him motivation. Anyways he was one of the more consistent players on the team last year as a sophomore. I am a BH fan in all sports and once again DONT STOP BEING ENTHUSIASTIC toward BH baseball, just tone it down a bit is all im sayin.
I'm just glad someone finally said it!  I was wondering where/who some of the names were coming from on WhatHappened?'s list and then to have some of those names in place of starters from last season was REALLY amusing.  BH had a lot of Sophomores in the starting line-up last year and I'm pretty sure they will all be in the starting line-up again this season.
 15.

Season at a glance: The season started off with almost a complete new coaching staff.  A completely different offense was installed.  22 or 23 of the Eagles are underclassmen.  Three quality, but very different QB's fighting for #1 spot.  The pre-season pick for QB was overshadowed by excellent play from K. Denny who is a freshman and new to BH schools.  His dad is the new baseball coach taking over for long-time coach Gill Staulbaum. Receivers moved from the spread to running back and a few new ones stepped in.  Defensive leadership was found in Senior Bellard, and Senior safety Morton made a name for himself on both offense and defense.  Morton brought back memories of the Mason Fisher high-flying catches many of us remember.  The defense started off a little slow, however after getting a "beating" (as Coach Gage Put it) they played very good defense and allowed very few points the next several games.  Offensively they started out rusty, but still managed to beat Nederland, and ended up with only 1 district loss and captured 2nd place in district.  Should have won their first playoff game, but turnovers and a few really bad penalties kept them down, as had happened in the Dayton game.  A 3rd and inches play-call did not help matters either, but we all wished we had something back. Overall the team exceeded expectations by most. The future is bright for Bh with 22 or 23 returning next season, with most key players returning.  There are a number of players expected to step-up in the varsity role and a lot of very young kids who are already there.  I assume the offense will gain complexity as the kids get used to the basics and we will see more pass/run balance as the kids develop.  Experience, talent, and quality coaching should take the Eagles well into the playoffs next season.  The kids have really taken to this new staff and the staff seems to really be interested in the kids.  As it often is in Region III, just depend on who you draw and who wants it more.  Exciting times on the "Ant Mound"......."Bump"........"Hill".....or whatever you want to call us.
Well said JJ....very impressed w/ what Gage has done in 1st year. Equally impressed w/ how the kids responded to new coaches and change. Where are all the outsiders that thought BH was stupid getting rid of Price ?
Gage still has not done anything Price did. So, I am still not impressed. All you gage supporters will realize the mistake you made by getting rid of a coach like coach price. That is the problem  in BH, the fans run the athletic program. What I mean by that is, the best players don'y play but players who parents have the most money plays. That will never happen over here in Jerry's Program. Thats why we will put another 54-0 Whoooooopin on the hill next year for coach Price again. I don't have time to talk about this any more. We have more important issues to deal with like kp this saturday. So tell gage to come get a seat and learn what a 21 century offense looks like and not a ice age one.
I will agree with you on the community/parent issue. Too much input.....even in the interview/hiring process. That will have to change to move to the next level.....in my opinion. I will say that I think Coach Gage got as much out of his team as he could........
Not in my opinion .... there were a couple of players, whose names made the headlines a couple of weeks down the stretch that he had on the sidelines during the last quarter of the game ..... that's not how you win playoff games.  Agree completely with the parents being WAY to involved.  All District Picks were turned in last week, so we will see if he gives credit where credit is due or if the parents made that call as well.

Maybe if they combine they might be able to put up 7 pts. Heres my prediction. CROS put 3 up on DAY............BH put up 0..............niether one can play D against a real team................. CROS by 3
*shakes head* uh huh... 1BH player + 1 Crosby player = 1 Dayton Bronco... So in conclusion it takes 2 of their players to make 1 of our players  :-*
Wow!  Impressive math.....must be that academically acceptable education you got at Dayton ISD!
Oh and just so you know I didn't go to Dayton.
While your on that topic, how was the Department of Corrections?   ;D ;D ;D
Haven't a clue.. but I did hear that an APB was put out on a smokin infantile.. you fit that description...something bout hanging on to Dayton's coat tails... after repeated warnings to create BH's own glory... But you just can't get up enough confidence in the bump to do that. I hear Crosby has an opening on their coat tails... you have ties there I'm sure they will let you on.  :-*    After 4 quarters of play... the game is tied for hours.... breaks a new record for OT... Both teams agree to a coin toss.. the bump wins the toss but defers it to Crosby... ;D
Does BH kick a field goal or extra point after a TD? i dont know the difference.... before you start knocking someones else intelligence; you might wanna get some yourself.  ;D ;D ;D
Ok so whos intelligence did I insult? I have plenty of intelligence.. just not football intelligence thats why I ask questions to get me some football intelligence... I can't help that I'm not a wanna be or has been football player like you... you like me just admit it.. cause you remember that question I asked days ago.. and called me a smart A$$ for asking... we have that love hate relationship going on huh? :-*
Once again you arent showing much intelligence from that assumption! Actually i never stepped foot on a football team unless it was for a round up game. I just know my terminology of football before i make an appearance on a football website and start smack talking. Learn the game or you will be put to shame.
And what was your prediction on the BH / DAY game whathappened? OH........that was real intelligence ;)
Go back and look. my prediction was Day= 35 BH= 13. not exact but i was close
So you predicted a 22 point spread, the actual margin was 54 and you said you were close?  The margin was 2.5 times your prediction and you're calling it close?  You're not the real Brandon Lang are you?  I know a handicapper that might be able to get you into the biz with those skills.
I guess purple is truly the color of the "undecided" (isn't purple a girly color) .... When Dayton stops talking trash and starts watching the actual BH vs Dayton game, you will see that Dayton didn't beat BH.  BH beat BH ..... at least seven of the turnovers we had led to Dayton touchdowns ..... Give credit where credit is due, we turned the ball over which led to the spanking ..... Stop talking smack because you are about to jinx yourselves and be out the first round of the playoffs. At least BLUE is not a girly color .... lol Go Blue !!!

I mean BH thread BH is playing great ball right now and if GCM wouldn't have beat Crosby last week they might have had a chance for a sneak attack ;D The BH coaches will be prepared for this game! As I have said before it is difficult to predict anything from BH this year with the new system and all, but one thing i like about this coaching staff is that it seems they do their home work and really come in to the game knowing thier opponent! in the years past it seems like we came in half cocked then tried to make adjustments as we went. With that said I think BH comes in with another solid performance and takes the goose out! BH - 26 (Don't know what it is about that number) GCM-0
but one thing i like about this coaching staff is that it seems they do their home work and really come in to the game knowing thier opponent! So I guess thats why Dayton beat the bump 54-0 cause they forgot to do their homework? :-*
What was it .... seven turnovers by BH during the Dayton game .... do the math ...... we are a completely different team now.  Dayton would have beat us turnovers or not, they are a tough team, but BH has improved greatly and they have a couple of kids who have shined over the last four or five games.  Give it a rest with the Dayton game and lets just see what happens tonight .... Key players for a win tonight are Rueter, Morton, Newcomb, Duke and McMillan .... just my opinion
 18.
In the National Football League, the scrimmage for point after attempt takes place from the two-yard line. In American high school and college football, it is from the three-yard line. ;D & 2 defend our kicker, (not making an excuse) but most of his misses come after he has just ran in a touchdown ! BH sure needs a soccer team, then maybe we could have a full time kicker ... lol
hmmmmm ... how many touchdowns has he had in the last four games and how many missed field goals?  lol
 19.
Saw part of Barber's Hill versus Lumberton-you have to admire their toughness and heart.  But i don't think they will be able to run on dayton, and their passing attack isn't much of a threat.  I've got Dayton in what I see as a relatively low-scoring game
As long as the BH offense can hang onto the ball, I think Dayton is going to be in for a big surprise this Friday.  As for the passing game, BH has the best QB for the passing game, hopefully we get to see him a lot more than we did during the Nederland game. BH needs to do what Kubiak is doing with the Texans, put the ball in the hands of the "rookies" and make Dayton start changing their defense up, then change it up on em again!!  Dayton will be ready for the Duke's and McMillan's. .... Something tells me Coach Gage already has a FIX for the Broncos.  You cannot win Championships in Texas anymore with the running game, you've got to be able to pass the ball ..... I'm pulling for BH to beat Dayton by three and BH has the ability to pass and run the ball!! Go Eagles !!
