1. We noticed Andy Pettit at the game.  Just wondering what position his son plays on Deer Park's team.
 2. Update on BH vs PNG please.  Game Center is either not working AGAIN or no one is scoring the game.
 3.
You don't remember the single to right field by Kody Tompson off Lemoine?
I thought Thompson's hit brought Newcomb around to score (after Newcomb's hit) .
 4. EAGLES SET TO FLEX COLLECTIVE MUSCLE AS 4A POWER IN 2012 BY RANDY BYERS © COPYRIGHT 2012 H5AB.COM   The Stage is set In 2011 the Eagles took to the diamond with a proven Field General who had weathered the storm at the 5A level and not only reached the promised land of Texas 5A Baseball, but captured the hardware as the 2005 UIL 5A State Champions with the Kingwood Mustangs. Denny, in hist 1st year at Barber's Hill led the Eagles to a 19-4A play-off appearance with a very young squad.   In 2012 Head Coach David Denny will field a team in with some striking similarities to his 2005 Kingwood squad. Each team had outstanding pitching led by one of the nation’s top prep power pitchers, each possess premium leadership and skill behind the plate with top shelf catching, each possesses some of the best secondary pitching in their classification, each squad shares the distinction of fielding multiple players committed to play in college, and each team possesses +skills at the plate and in the field. Now enter the leadership of a proven leader of young men in Denny, and the Eagles might just find themselves with the winning recipe in 2012. All pitching returns   The Eagles pitching staff will be led by 2012/RHP – Grayson Long who is committed to Texas A & M; but Long may never see the college diamond because professional scouts are literally giddy over this talented young man. Long is a high 80’s to low 90’s guy who stands an intimidating 6’6’-205 on the mound and possesses one of the best fastballs in all of prep baseball. Senior RHP, Kyle Leggett has started every game for the Eagles since his sophomore season where he posted a 10-2 mark on the hill. OF/LHP, Christian Thames, and OF/RHP, Kody Thompson round out a premium pitching staff. Varsity experience at a surplus   The Hill returns eight starters from a play-off team of 2011 and six who garnered All-District Honors in 19-4A. Joining 1st Team Pitcher Grayson Long will be 1st Team, 1B, Blake Bonnin who hit over .500 in 2011 district play; 1st Team, OF, Kody Thompson who also hit over .500 in 2011 district play; All District. OF, Tyler Newcomb who hit over .330 in 2011; All District, Catcher, Tyler Beasly; All District, P, Kyle Leggett; sophomore, SS, Kaleb Denny; OF/LHP, Christian Thames.   Varsity, and play-off experience will be at a surplus for the Eagles in 2012 as seniors, Bonnin, Newcomb, Thompson, Long, and Leggett have started every game since their sophomore seasons. Cameron Johnson transfers in from Baytown Christian giving the entire (likely) 2012 Eagles lineup varsity game experience.   While the Eagles snuck into the 2011 play-offs, grabbing the #4 seed in 19-4A, dropping a three gamer to Nederland (both losses by a combined 3 runs), they did so with one of the youngest squads in the 4A Region III play-offs. 2012 finds the Eagles with multiple decorated returning seniors and one of the best under classes in their classification.

 6.
In regards to Offensive MVP, lets look at some statistics.  I am not second guessing coaches because they can vote for whomever they want.  However, I felt like these individuals were more deserving.  Especially the Crosby twins.  I understand they are Sophomores, but I dont think that should matter.  These were the players that jump off the page with their stats.
yeah gamal averaged 60 yds a return last week
Not sure what your point is here ...... Gamal also had -1 total rushing yards with a -0.5 average last week, while Newcomb had 110 total rushing yards with a 10.0 average (Not to mention Newcomb's 49 yard k/o return to start the 2nd half).
well then answer my question how many kick off returns does he have for td. If he averages 41 yds a return and had no td it tells me he is to slow to take it to the house. My whole point was his average is so high because he doesnt have many returns and I was just making a joke.
To answer your question, no returns for TD; however, It doesn't take a genius to figure  out why we havent had any returns for TD......We simply have not had the opportunities for it to happen, because our defense has allowed, on average, less than 7 points per game.
 8. Everyone be sure to vote for the "Barbers Hill vs Goose Creek Memorial" football game, so that we will be the "Game of the Week" tomorrow night.  The link to the Facebook Page is listed below. [Hidden Content]

I watched them storm the field and chant like they had won state not just the first district game. I have never seen dayton respond to a district win like that we usually just walk of the field. If the bronx dont use this as a wake up call then their in trouble. Beating dayton in our district is peoples state game and every team will play like that. Our defense made #20 look like earl campbell I dont think I have ever seen that many missed tackles from a dayton team. This week the bronx better get it togethet because if they dont gp can get their state championship to.
Personally I see it a different way! I don't think the teams that beat yall feel like they have won state, they are just glad to shut the Bronco's up! The Dayton Bronco's always feel they are a better team than they actually are! That Big head started coming out after you took it to 20-4A. The team plays cocky and when they get up on you they start flapping their jaws! WOS is the same way when they are winning they are jiving on the field and high fiving and doing anything to intimidate the other team. If you don't like how teams act when they beat you then slow your roll and win with class! Oh and that #20 you didn’t make him look like anything! That boy plays lights out every game! Here's to you hoping we lose a multiple district games  :-*
Do you even know what that means? ::)  Nothing wrong with a team.. being overly excited that they FINALLY beat the Kings of 19-4A IMO. Will they do it again... maybe, maybe not.  We already had to endure the arrogance of the BH posters when yall sucked... Now that yall wised up and used that tax money you get from the plants and hired someone who might know what they are doing (as far as football) . Now we have to put up with yall's arrogance even more....Here's to BH doing well... Finally have some competition for the Broncos.
When the Shoe is on the other foot it doesn't feel so good, Does it sweat heart 8) ;D
What is a "sweat heart"... The shoe is NOT on the other foot...one game, or even one season, does not a program make Nice try, "crosby light"
just for your info #20 had 9 carries for 45yds against ned so yes we made him look like earl campbell
LMAO .... So #20 accounted for 55 yards of the 173 yards NEDERLAND allowed which is approximately 33%.  What is your point, considering Dayton's was 37/152 and BH was 38/261 on Rushes .... Is it because #20 had over 160 of those rushing yards vs Dayton or is it because he had 55 yards of the 173 total yards in the Nederland game .... I'm so confused on your point !!

On Which Dayton defensive play was it that they had "so many missed tackles" ..... look back at the video, because the truth is that he broke A LOT of tackles and on many other plays, he blocked for crucial yards (the last TD of the game .... after another HUGE gain to put us in the red zone with less than 40 seconds left) ..... Dayton's Defense was simply "out-coached" and "out-played" ..... Just Admit it Already!!
 12. Just checked the website.  So, I am guessing the "plays of the week" will always be Broncos?  I saw one of the best TD runs, I've seen in a long time, during the Dayton vs BH game and it wasn't a Bronco breaking the tackles on the 53 yard touchdown run ......  :P
 13. The two best offensive RB's, led the Hill and each of them only scored one touchdown.  The Hill scored 7 touchdowns in the game and all seven were by different players.  GREAT blocking, AGAIN, by #20 on the big plays for the Eagles and excellent job by QB in leading The Hill throughout the game.  #8 and #20 led the BH running game and I'm pretty confident that with the duo of Duke and Newk and Denny at QB, the Eagles are destined for a very bright and long playoff run this year. The final game stats for The Hill are: Mont Belvieu Barbers Hill Passing Name Comp Att Pct Yds TD INT Kaleb Denny 2 for 8 with 44 yards and 1 TD. Can you say Defense? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D BH 4-0 Deal with it!!!!
I totally agree .... our defense is AWESOME, but turnovers or no turnovers, our Offense is NOT slow and I ESPECIALLY loved the way that third touchdown pass in the endzone caught Dayton's defense and sideline TOTALLY offguard .... hmmmmmmm ..... The Hill is For Real and We Can Also Pass the Ball .... Don't diss on our offense too much, I saw some runs tonight with Dayton guys hanging on for dear life trying to make tackles (on our slow RB's) with our RB's still standing (running) in the end ...... Don't get me wrong, the turnovers were bad, but they all made up for it in the end!!  What an AWESOME game!!

 16.
Just got home from the game. BH defense kept us in the game. Your kicker missed a close one with 2 seconds left or we would be the sad ones tonight. I thought the call was a good one by the ref in ot. The receiver pushed off the corner to get seperation before the ball arrived. I am just very suprised the ref made that call in bulldog stadium in that situation. I thought the BH receivers were mugged all night by the Ned secondary and couldn't buy a flag. In any event BH won because #8 swept around the left end behind great blocking by #20 and dove into the corner of the endzone for 6. That play worked both times we ran it. The offense struggled more than I expected, especiall with the fumbles. Our defense did an outstanding job. Ned is a lot tougher than I expected. I think you will do well in district. I will pray for Raines to recover. I was also impressed with the running of Edwin Nelson. Hope y'all win the rest of your games.
Totally agreed.  IMO, had #20 or #8 gotten their hands on a few of the fumbled snaps, our total yards would be much closer to Nederlands.  We have an awesome group of boys and they played their hearts out.  Our defense kept us in this game and our offense came through when we needed them most!! Great game by both teams.
