1. We noticed Andy Pettit at the game.  Just wondering what position his son plays on Deer Park's team.
 2. Update on BH vs PNG please.  Game Center is either not working AGAIN or no one is scoring the game.
 3.
You don't remember the single to right field by Kody Tompson off Lemoine?
I thought Thompson's hit brought Newcomb around to score (after Newcomb's hit) .
 4. EAGLES SET TO FLEX COLLECTIVE MUSCLE AS 4A POWER IN 2012 BY RANDY BYERS © COPYRIGHT 2012 H5AB.COM   The Stage is set In 2011 the Eagles took to the diamond with a proven Field General who had weathered the storm at the 5A level and not only reached the promised land of Texas 5A Baseball, but captured the hardware as the 2005 UIL 5A State Champions with the Kingwood Mustangs. Denny, in hist 1st year at Barber's Hill led the Eagles to a 19-4A play-off appearance with a very young squad.   In 2012 Head Coach David Denny will field a team in with some striking similarities to his 2005 Kingwood squad. Each team had outstanding pitching led by one of the nation’s top prep power pitchers, each possess premium leadership and skill behind the plate with top shelf catching, each possesses some of the best secondary pitching in their classification, each squad shares the distinction of fielding multiple players committed to play in college, and each team possesses +skills at the plate and in the field. Now enter the leadership of a proven leader of young men in Denny, and the Eagles might just find themselves with the winning recipe in 2012. All pitching returns   The Eagles pitching staff will be led by 2012/RHP – Grayson Long who is committed to Texas A & M; but Long may never see the college diamond because professional scouts are literally giddy over this talented young man. Long is a high 80’s to low 90’s guy who stands an intimidating 6’6’-205 on the mound and possesses one of the best fastballs in all of prep baseball. Senior RHP, Kyle Leggett has started every game for the Eagles since his sophomore season where he posted a 10-2 mark on the hill. OF/LHP, Christian Thames, and OF/RHP, Kody Thompson round out a premium pitching staff. Varsity experience at a surplus   The Hill returns eight starters from a play-off team of 2011 and six who garnered All-District Honors in 19-4A. Joining 1st Team Pitcher Grayson Long will be 1st Team, 1B, Blake Bonnin who hit over .500 in 2011 district play; 1st Team, OF, Kody Thompson who also hit over .500 in 2011 district play; All District. OF, Tyler Newcomb who hit over .330 in 2011; All District, Catcher, Tyler Beasly; All District, P, Kyle Leggett; sophomore, SS, Kaleb Denny; OF/LHP, Christian Thames.   Varsity, and play-off experience will be at a surplus for the Eagles in 2012 as seniors, Bonnin, Newcomb, Thompson, Long, and Leggett have started every game since their sophomore seasons. Cameron Johnson transfers in from Baytown Christian giving the entire (likely) 2012 Eagles lineup varsity game experience.   While the Eagles snuck into the 2011 play-offs, grabbing the #4 seed in 19-4A, dropping a three gamer to Nederland (both losses by a combined 3 runs), they did so with one of the youngest squads in the 4A Region III play-offs. 2012 finds the Eagles with multiple decorated returning seniors and one of the best under classes in their classification.
In regards to Offensive MVP, lets look at some statistics.  I am not second guessing coaches because they can vote for whomever they want.  However, I felt like these individuals were more deserving.  Especially the Crosby twins.  I understand they are Sophomores, but I dont think that should matter.  These were the players that jump off the page with their stats.
yeah gamal averaged 60 yds a return last week
Not sure what your point is here ...... Gamal also had -1 total rushing yards with a -0.5 average last week, while Newcomb had 110 total rushing yards with a 10.0 average (Not to mention Newcomb's 49 yard k/o return to start the 2nd half).
well then answer my question how many kick off returns does he have for td. If he averages 41 yds a return and had no td it tells me he is to slow to take it to the house. My whole point was his average is so high because he doesnt have many returns and I was just making a joke.
To answer your question, no returns for TD; however, It doesn't take a genius to figure  out why we havent had any returns for TD......We simply have not had the opportunities for it to happen, because our defense has allowed, on average, less than 7 points per game.
 8. Everyone be sure to vote for the "Barbers Hill vs Goose Creek Memorial" football game, so that we will be the "Game of the Week" tomorrow night.  The link to the Facebook Page is listed below. [Hidden Content]
