1. wos dominated total punt yards this year tho. i give them that.
 2.
Just keep saying that!  ;) ;)
which referee made the call? just out of curiosity.. regardless, that was a GREAT game. getting pushed to overtime and it coming down to a rush on a two point conversion isnt handling them every year is what im saying .. dont matter what happened.
 3.
kirbyville moved the ball on wo-s all night.
They didn't move the ball all night.  It was 7-6 at the half.
****468 total yards to 216 total yards**** they moved the ball well all night.
 4.
Year in and year out, WOS is undoubtedly the THE SE TX team which has the best chance to go the farthest in the playoffs and possibly win state.  Coach Hooks works some voo-doo cajun magic and takes raw talent and molds it into a machine.  Some of his machines get better gas mileage than others, but they all run like a Mustang.  He's the best at what he does.  I'm not saying they will win state this year or next year, but they are clearly capable.  K-ville is as capable, but as we all know, it's who brings the right stuff on any given night.  They don't hand out state trophies for the most capable team.  I'm confident that a pinch of luck and good fortune normally goes with state championships.  Good luck to all playoff teams!
whens the last time wos went to state? and year in and year out? id take kville in 2a any day (like they have been the past two years) over wos in 3a.. Earl Thomas, Deon Beasley, and DI athletes like that handled kville. not the team they have now by any means
 5.
Uh no they didn't make the 2 point conversion. Sorry. He was a half a yard short!
i was there standing pretty close. half yard short im pretty sure the side judge could see that  ;)
 6.
i agree 92... they beat us 28-14, but anyone who saw the interference no-call knows the final score was actually 21-14. with everything wos was dealing with at the time the cats still struggled. if we play again it will be a MUCH different outcome with the stangs rolling!  jmo
kirbyville moved the ball on wo-s all night. could of VERY EASILY scored again on that last drive as well. and last year, "everyone who was at the game" knows kirbyville scored that two point conversion. EASY to see from the stands. wonder why kville side was cheering loudly and wos was silent. everyone knew. if i remember right it was the BACK JUDGE that made the call eventually.. not the side judge.
 7.
EC doesnt need this win. they will win district regardless.  I would still like to see them win.
Everyone else has two losses??
 8. this is why i think they should of kept 3a in the small school poll.. u have to vote on that school.. in that conference if you ask me.. like evadale down there.. they aint the best in that poll either.
 9. head to head matchups dont count in this.. place votes make pts. thats all that matters.
 10. sam mcguffie did it so many times its not even funny. i dont think there is that rule in texas high school football.
 11. while silsbee may of been the only team to match up, they dont match this year WOS by 14+ ... and BC will blast orangefield.
 12. I don't remember hf being good at all. Don't see it as a rebuilding season but a normal season rather
 13.

I came to the game thinking about all the talk about Bridge City walking all over Silsbee I saw a good Bridge City team tonight but not as good as advertised  ???
its easy to pad your stats and look invincible when this is your competition--- Shepherd 0-7 Vidor 2-4 Kelly 4-3 Stafford 2-4 H-J 1-5
they played a decent game against kville too...
 14.

takin buna on this. havent seen anahuac since 08-09 season always talked a big game. just aint seen it.
Well, you've had your eyes closed...it's kind of been a little difficult to go very far when your first matchup in the playoffs the last 2 years has made it to the championship game.  Just like UT this season, eventually Kville will fall back to earth!   8) Other than EC last season, Buna has probably given the Panthers the most trouble over the last 2 seasons in district play.  Buna has size mixed with speed while Anahuac just has high speed and lacks in size.  On paper, the only advantage for the Cougars that I see is that it's a home game - other than that we should win this by 2 scores.  Anything can happen and good luck to both teams!!!
Not that I have had my eyes closed so much as after graduating its been hard to keep up with everyone unless i was just interested in that team. just heard so much about how good anahuac is from anahuac ppl on here but when we played them, they always had speedy players yeah but its about a lot more than that. I will be at the game Friday night and will watch the fundamnetals of the game and then give you my "re-assessed" opinion of your panthers. Kville knows that on any given night they could possibly lose though. and every year (since at least 05) I have heard the graduating players and others say how down the program is about to be. To me, I'm proud what it has become yeah. In all honesty it seems like the athletes are getting, i dont wanna say less talented or impressive, but when they had cotton, lard, howard and rhodes all at the same time to run the ball? I'd choose that group hands down any day. If you were from here you would understand ... I could name players all day that would make a lot of the players now third string if they were who they are now playing on that team...
 15.
I remember a better day, a kinder day, not to long ago for Indian football. The days where trash talking and bold predictions were part of make up of Friday nights in Ctown. Three straight trips to the playoffs and two district titles later, the team and the town are still trying to sort out the wreckage of questionable district leadership and the theory that prevailed to get us where we are now. Injuries and youth are the process of change that all programs endure, but the senseless changing of the guard(coaching) is not. The present team is composed of several three year lettermen who are suffering through a season that was not their doing. It is hard as a fan to see the many people affected by all that has happened since this summer. I know it is just high school football, but good luck on selling that to the kids who went through two-a-days and the fans there faithfully every Friday night. I know it's never over till it's over but I hear the fat lady tuning up. To all the mighty Indians sell'in out and giving it their all on Friday nights I want to say "Thank you." Play each game like it is your last, because one day it will be. Best of luck in the batttle of the C's! ROLL...TRIBE...ROLL!
they got okay for those three years but were playing horrible football right before that and horrible football right now. 07-08 was one of their "good years" and we came there and won 30-0 and won again first round of the playoffs by like 18 or so (dont remember exact score) in a rainy game with many turnovers.
 16.
I remember that game.  Kirbyville had suspended Pierce Rhodes for something that had happened in school.  We were winning at the half and low and behold he played in the 2nd half and we still almost one.  Funny how those suspensions work sometimes.. ;) ;) ;)
pierce was only supposed to be benched for a half. really he shouldnt of been benched at all in my opinion but it wasnt a full game suspension to begin with.
 17. takin buna on this. havent seen anahuac since 08-09 season always talked a big game. just aint seen it.
 18. Think that this may be their first loss  :( just kidding!!! lol. going to travel to this game though. score predictions?
 19. when has kville not blitzed. lol. but in this situation, yes, to confuse the qb. pressure is key to forcing mistakes and thats what happened with that screen that was intercepted
 20. the way the running game is clicking and the way kael is playing.. going pretty well i'd say..!
