kirbyville was good for a period of time but the
talent level is nothing ANYwhere close to what it was..

newton continuously reloads.. newton by plenty..
Newton was fortunate to get WT back otherwise that program would have struggled bro. WT is doing a great job filling Coach Barbay shoes. The talent level is good in Kirbyville, but several players are playing out of their position.

talent level is good? not compared to years past by any means...
2. Huffman thinks wo-s woulda been a given game too!  ;D ;D
they said 8-2 and only MAYBE losing to vidor. wow..

and cs last year lost to kville 20-6 in pre-district, pre-"season" i guess would just be scrimmages which dont matter. but after that 20-6 win, kville was up 20-6 LATE in the 3rd in the playoff game as well.

but i also dont see how you can give jasper and center so much props to be "contenders" when kville played both so close. 1 game is 1 game. is not unrealistic that kville "could" beat rusk then someone else.

All I want know is why Texas? He should of saw the writing on the wall last week in that whopping OU baby. Texas O is trash
OU is a Texas made team! So when OU loses a game, and they will, you can call them Texas trash as well!
Not a OU fan either but I will say that they are at this time easily the better team. It hasn't been close the past couple of years. The main reason I said OU is why go share a backfield with someone when you can have your own in Norman. That being said it's the kid choice and I look forward to watching him play for the longhorns. As far as numbers year in and year out thanks to the NCAA there are more FR and Soph on the team. This is because upper classman that aren't playing transfer out of the program or just give up on playing football period. Not here to bash Mack Brown he does have a good record but you fire the coaches in a system that had guided you to the BCS title game in 2009-2010. This is the same system that Colt McCoy and VY ran with no problem.A year later I must ask was it the coaches or the players. Garrett Gilbert really worked out well this year. Didn't he ? The saying goes that head coaches fire asst to save there job. As for as watching the Oklahoma St game no I didn't didn't watch but I saw where Brown had his best game with more to come. I do think that Ok State suffers a couple of losses this year. They want breathe on the title game even if they do beat OU.

my point is that they have more FRESHMEN alone than JR/SR combined and play more or about as much freshmen than probably anyone in the country. Compare Mack Brown to A&M's coach who has right at or SLIGHTLY above a .500 win pct. there. But just out of curiosity, who would be the COUPLE losses if ok st beats ou??? lol.

I can't see it and I'm from Texas all my life and not a homer. UT needs to get rid of Mack Brown there comes a time when a college coach has run it's course. It just look like he has run his in Austin. I'm starting to hear the some excuses I heard every year in the begining of his tenure. I'm showing UT OL as having 2 Sr 2 Red shirt Soph and 1 true Soph.Correct me if I'm wrong that's basically 2 Sr. and 2 Jr. Garrett Gilbert was the problem last year but he is gone this year. So what will it be next? I see one problem there is no game breaker at WR. Goodwin red shirted this year and will be back next year I hope. I really think they recruit to fast there is a lot of growning that happens between a high school kid Jr and Sr year. They miss out because they already have the States best as Jr committed a year early.

That's actually hilarious.. coach brown has an amazing record at Texas, had ONE bad year last year.. Best WR quit before the season started, whole new coaching staff this year, more freshmen on the team than sophomores and seniors COMBINED.. (49 FR, 25 SO, 19 JR, 18 SR) and a LOT of FR playing in key roles. Idk if you even watched the Oklahoma State game but we could of DEF won that game. Never mind that The winner of the OK/OK ST game will probably be going to the National Championship.. and Texas still has a legit chance at a 10-2 season.

its only gonna take wins over diboll and huntington for a playoff berth correct?
Right now Kirbyville needs to win a ball game to get the spirits up again...Why would you even think play-offs when your'e 0/6..Coach Neece is a good man & Coach,I have a lot of confidence in the man's ability to Coach the team..I would just like to see Will get the ball more since it's His Senior Year..No one plays every down like #33...JMO... ;)
if i were still a student, I'd prolly consider what I had to do to get to the post season. take a realistic look at what I had to accomplish.. but were all in fact just fans. even more justification to get a conceptual understanding of what it will take, in this district, to make it to the post-season. I believe thats the goal, especially of the seniors, to feel that atmosphere no matter the outcome in the playoffs.
6. i would never count out kirbyville though. many times they were "going to be bad". like when
we got thrown in district with silsbee, wo-s, etc. picked at the bottom of the district and we saw
what happened. more than 3 good years too.

'10- 3rd round 3A
'09- state 2A
'08- state 2A
'07- 3rd round 3A
'06- 2nd round 3A
'05- 3rd round 3A
'04- 3rd round 3A
7. Stupid was harsh. I apologize for that.

And easily enough I think kirbyville has a better defense. A better offense. Better runningbacks. And most importantly are a driven group of kids who went to two state title games in the past two years. Think there will be a td lead for kirbyville at the half and the game to end around 37-23. Kirbyville. I won't post any more this week tho ... I'll just wait for friday.

Again. Sorry about that comment ^^^^^
