How about those mighty mites of ozen. Very small but very quick. They ran a 1-2-1-1 full ct press whole game and droped into a 1-2-2 half ct press for most of the game. Memorial didn't handle pressure well. Had best big man on floor and couldn't get him ball under the basket consistently.  3s and turnovers will be the key for them this yr. What do u think dove? Is the secret out? ;)

We LCM Bears are just sacrificial lambs in this tourney. We unfortunately upset the apple cart last year when we beat memorial so our opener will probably be a state ranked opponent this year.  Hopefully we won't have to play those speedy panthers this year til dist.

Dove, LCM should only be on your "slightly mad" list (not hater list).  We have no shot at the eventual stat champs (Central), perpetual 20-4a dist. champs (Nederland) or those ultra quick, world beater Ozen Panthers who are going to bring sanity back to 20-4a by dominating once again. :)

Livingston was predicted to get the 4th spot last year too.  I guess those predicting these things can be wrong. ;)

Anyone want to give us a little info on the HJ/Ozen scrimmage?  Did Ozen's quick guards shut down HJ's point? Was it evenly matched?

Both teams are also very well coached. I love to see and hear coach Williams coach his team. It's very entertaining. I think he gets as much excersize as his team.

Memorial won 45-36. Memorial's young big man was very good. He made the difference. They played game like conditions. LCM's young team played well. LCM will play good defense and surprise some people this year. I think they can get a playoff spot this year.

Which Longview school is this? There are several schools in Longview including a 5a, 4a and 3a school.

Of course scrimmage scores don't mean much but it's fun to see kids on floor again.

Based on LCM's year last year I would agree with the other posters. Give me a dominating point over a dominating post.

Is the older Mitchell brother (qb) going to play basketball this year for Central?

Don't forget Jordan Wells (of LCM) will be playing at McNeese this year.

We play HJ and Ozen this year.  We have to do something to keep up!  ;)

Someone should research to see who brings up Yates more, Dove or Nash! :D
