I like their confidence. Last year they were sure they were going to beat us just because they had the numbers to wear us down. That did not work so well. This year they are firing on all cylinders and playing like a team and you have to respect the confidence that comes with that.  The Cats will be in it to win it and I hope this is thier week to shine.
kville68 see if you can talk them cats into waiting till after the Vidor game to do their shining....... ;D
Well VP as much as I would like for the Cats to help you out in the spirit of good sportmanship and all.........I would like even more for them to beat the breaks off of the Pirates.  ;D  Seriously yall look good this season. One of the guys that works with me is a Vidorian and he came to Kville last year, sat on the home side and took his lumps. I will do the same this year if I have to but I would rather see him eating a big 'oll crow samich if I have my way. Good luck to both teams. It should be a good game

Dont think that because you have had a rough start to the season that you dont have everyone support. People say you are "down" this year, dont listen to that.  Yall still have all the talent needed to have a great season it will not come as easy as it has in the past but it's still there. You have shown a lot of heart and played every second of all four quarters. It's easy to get frustrated when you want to win but concentrate on the little things and big things will happen. Work hard this week and remember the Kirbyville faithfull will be there for you!
So I guess that listening to You is out of the question, because You are the one talking down Your team.  Or didn't You read Your own Post?
The trouble with most of us is that we would rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism. Norman Vincent Peale Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things. Winston Churchill May be you believe that to question something is the same as hating it. I love by wife dearly and unconditionaly but I promise you that if she hit herself in the head with a hammer 20 or 30 times friday night I would question her reasoning for it. I would never be so arrogant as to believe I see something that anyone else can not. I think that the young men on the team have earned the opportunity to reach their true potential.  I know they have the desire to perform better and that the coaches want to help them get there. There are more than a few opinions on what they should do. I believe nothing is more dangerous than someone that has nothing to loose and when this young wildcat team figures that out they will be hard to handle.  Thanks for your concerned opinion though.
 6. Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don't quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don't quit until you reach it. Never quit. Bear Bryant
 7. Thanks Jimmy and Pink. I am not trying to be negative. Anyone that knows me knows I support these young men both JV and Varsity24/7 . I want them to have every oppoutunity to play to their full potential and to stay healthy! I hurt my shoulder my senior year and 24 years later it still bothers me so its more than who is healthy enough for next Friday to me.  Our Cats have talent and something to proove and that can be a dangerous combination.

I bet that would work for 'em.
I told myself I wasn't going to do this, but, what game were you at? Kirbyville did run some off tackle plays, there just wasn't anywhere to run. You also said that the coaches had not taught any fundamentals to anyone but the stars. What an insane thing to say. You think they line up at practice and say "Ok stars over here, and everyone else over there"? Talent level is down in Kirbyville this year no doubt, but your blind backseat driving of the current coaching staff is the most hideous possible by any "fan". Ya'll could bring Alverez back and it wouldn't change. Newton will be loaded the next few years as the 58-8 score on JV tells you. Get ready. And I am acknowledging your "superior" football knowledge for what it is worth. :o
Im sorry if i dont express myself in a way that pleases you. I will try to make myself more clear. First of all I dont think bringing Alverez back would change a thing. Neece is doing what he thinks is best with what he's got. My comment about the off tackle plays was just frustrated sarcasim but the truth is it is reflective of what most fans in the stands are saying. If your O line is small and inexperienced why are you going to run the ball 90 % of the time right at them? I am not saying Haywood, Smith and Jacko dont have speed and talent, as a matter of fact I am saying just the opposite. They have to play with what they've got (which is not bad) and be smart about it. How can anyone agree that we should do the same thing over and over and if it gets a player hurt, fine. If it looks like crap, fine. If we loose 5 yards every play, great. We like running up the middle so no matter how embarrasing it gets keep it up. We are a running team no doubt but if we are succsessfull rolling the ball into the endzone with a wooden spoon I say we should go with that until the compitition catches on. The very deffinition of insanity is do do the same thing over and over and expect a different result.  My second point is,  if anyone can make the argument that Kirbyville has not leaned hard on a few talented players and failed to develop some younger guys with true potential I would be interested in hearing it. For instance, right now you have a JV squad that has been picked so clean of talent they can barely get a snap off. Some of the young talented players could make a real difference. But they are bumped up to varsity where they get little or no playing time. In most programs the JV squad is used to give them time and experience to develop. Some young men with a love of the game and the tools to make it will not be playing next year because they feel they are being left out to dry. The players and parents all see it. How would you feel if you were on a team and ANY chance that you have even make an honest effort at a win is pulled out from under you? Of course the problem in this senerio is numbers. Kirbyville has a lack of players not a lack of talent and of course some times sacrafices have to be made but dont act like there is not a price to be paid for it. I as a more than casual observer and fan do give the new coaches credit for trying to pass the ball and for holding the boys responsible for whatever it was that earned them a lap durring the game last night. Some people were upset about the penalty on the coach but I feel if he is fired up about something, he shows passion and he feels its that important, more power to him. Barrbay and Hooks made a carreer out of standing up for their players. I have every confidence that Neece will be "motivating" the team this week and you can bet adjustments will be made. My only hope is for the sake of the players that are giving it their all that more is expected of everyone involved. If a whole team of young men and a few more coaches showed the heart #33 does every play we would be hard to beat. Attitude reflects leadership.
 10. What I would like to see is some off tackle plays. I bet that would work for 'em.

 13. Buddy I know people don't like to hear it but Kville doe not lack talent. They lack fundamentals. They have leaned on a very talented few and forgot to teach the rest.

 21. The game starts at 6:00 in Kville. Will post scores.
 22. The Cat's were in a fight tonight for sure. There were a few positive points. 1. They never gave up. CS was biger and faster but the Cat's kept pushing. 2. Despite the score it could have been MUCH worse. The D showed some fire and made some big plays. 3. The Cats did not run the same old up the middle junk. They threw everything but the kitchen sink at a very tough CS defense. 4. I can not see us playing a team any more physical than CS. They have a lot of talent and a huge line. Negatives were simple. NO BLOCKING, none, not even a little. We have no idea what we can do on offense. The qb and the backs never got the slightest chance to get a play off. I know they were frustrated. We made a few pass plays but they were nt exactally shot out of a cannon. The Cats did what they could against a good team. They never gave up. No shame in that. I hope all the banged up players are ok. Were proud of you!
