They quit to easy, and they think they have to dedicate to one or two sports. Whey I played the coach could spit on me and it would not run me off, because I loved to play. Kids get their feelings hurt to easy.  When I was a kid we played tackle football in the street, not tackle football on the xbox.  I had a converstion with Coach Price when he arived at HF. What he told me was HF was feared when he started at BH. When tarver left HF got easier every year until BH did not play them any longer. So you are right. Off season "universal" is a must and if someone tells you otherwise...we know better.

HF is really strong. What is really scary is all their starting pitchers so far this year are not even seniors (with the excepton of wendling who has been injured). So I see them possibly finishing 1st for several years to come. These kids playing now have grown up with ford park complex in their back yard and you can see the training is really starting to pay off. That Hicks player who started at Varisity last year as a freshman is lighting it up this year. Had a walk off grand slam the other night against buna. Baseball at HF is strong.

Its not to late for some to come back, especially the ones that are sending their kids to the crime areas of Beaumont. I was watching my neice play at HF the other day and there is is a young lady on her team that is getting a full ride to UT. Last time I checked I thought UT was a big school. Anyway, If I had a kid that could make a diffence to put HF back on the map, I would not send them to a school where they would be just another face in the crowd. I would send them to HF and get alot more recognition for helping to turn a program around. If you are good enough the scouts will find you, (ex, the young lady going to UT on scholarship), without exposing my child to the mahem that goes on in Beaumont.

Teams like Buna need to realize that they need to leave the Little League antics behind and realize that it makes them look like they have no sportsmanship. I am not sure why coaches let that continue. Play baseball and shut up!

Is Lynch still playing somewhere? When did he graduate from HF?
