Looking at the stats from the Yoakum game has me wondering how LRA beat Yoakum. Yardage was pretty lopsided in Yoakum’s favor. I think EC will win this game if Perault’s healthy
Special teams was a major factor. Yoakum had problems making extra points and the line-drive punts went 15 yards. Academy has a guy that can kick it into the end zone.

Buna and Woodville will certainly be contenders in the region next season. Buna will be losing their ace and best hitter, but has some good, younger arms behind him. Woodville appeared to have had an extremely talented Malakoff team beat in game 3, but had an error in the 7th?
Cameron is losing nobody. Teams like Malakoff and Troy will be taking heavy hits to graduation. Central Heights will also be drastically improved in 2022.

Looks like Bellville could be loaded in 2020? Cameron will be young. I know both Cameron and Bellville having excellent incoming freshman classes.

Guys,
TxHighSchoolBaseball.com has just released their preseason rankings for 2020. Additionally, the preseason magazine has been released. Much like DCTF or the basketball magazine, lots of time went into this product. It does include the rankings, top players in each region, top players for each classification, district projections, teams previews, feature stories, etc.

Watched Cameron in 2012, 2013 and 2014 at AT&T and then 2014 at NRG. Also have been back to AT&T the past two years. Personally, I don't care if the games stay or rotate, but I live in Cameron where we're 2.5 hours away from either Arlington, Houston or San Antonio.
The only issue I have with AT&T is the seating. They try to pack everyone in like sardines before they open another section. Yes, this means for some having to sit in the end zone.

I figured you may see Bellville and Sealy in the same district. But who knows lol
It's really a coinflip. You could slide Bellville from that district into 13-4A without really any difference. The average travel per game would essentially be the same.

So.. five 5 team districts and one 4 team district? If so, UIL never ceases to amaze.
It's tough when there are only 93 teams in the division. That is 5.8125 teams per district if you divide it out. With districts like 16-4A, all those teams really need to be in the same district, so that obviously takes away.
I just saw Padilla's this morning, and I will let you know he does have 1 four and 6 five team districts....and of course it's different than mine.
-
To note, "Aransas Pass" should actually be "Ingleside" in D16.
I do believe there is going to have to be a smaller district somewhere due to the heavy amount of teams in region IV and the fact that the classification is small.
-
Alright, I've done this for 3A DI, and will give it a shot for 4A. I will post 4A DI within the next few days.
To me, this comes down to what they are going to do with the likes of Carthage and a few other in that area. You could shift those teams south with the likes of Jasper and crew, which in turn would make a larger district with the likes of WO-S, Hardin-Jefferson, Liberty, Silsbee, Bridge City, Orangefield and Hamshire-Fannett. However, I believe that creates problems filling in districts in the remainder of region III and IV. I don't see them spiting the D16 teams since that would automatically create two four-team districts.

The UIL made a mistake with Rio Vista (they are not going to be in 3A). Even with that one team moving, changes will have to be made.
In scenario two, Rio Vista would move out and I believe McGregor would move in. I could then see Llano into D10. They currently really do not fit anywhere. You could put them in region I, III or IV.

I have managed to come up with two projections. The first is the one I do like the most. it provides the most balance with regards to teams in each region. The second is basically removing teams from the previous districts and mixing and matching. This would result in more uneven regions.

Sub Varsity won the District Championship but there were several Juniors on the team because of the Varsity being Senior heavy. If those Juniors transition well into Varsity play then Diboll should compete in District next year.
You're probably looking at a district with Fairfield (if they drop) and Crockett being the top two competitors for Diboll. Fairfield does also lose quite a bit. Not quite sure on Crockett. As mentioned, Franklin should drop.
-
Diboll was an excellent football team, and had one of the best defensive fronts we've seen since being in this classification. I can see why they held teams to negative yards and no first downs throughout the season.
How'd the sub-varsity play out in the district this year?

This is an excellent second round matchup. Diboll is big and physical, and has simply overwhelmed most of their opponents this year.
To me, this comes to Cameron's offensive line holding up, allowing for that same mix of run and pass which has been there all season.
Secondly, will the Yoemen do enough defensively up front to force the Jacks into predictable passing situations.
-
Appreciate the updates. Best of luck to the Brahmas this season!

Kirbyville had 42 total this evening.
That does not included freshmen, does it?
-
Cameron played Diboll in Madisonville in the area round. The home side is plenty big enough and neither crowd would fill it up. However, if you have any type of traveling fan base, the visiting side is very small. I would not consider it a great venue for the fourth round of the playoffs.

TxHighSchoolBaseball.com, the state's only source for baseball information, is looking for a 5A coordinator. We do a lot of the same that you see from DCTF, but for baseball.
- Preseason Magazine
- Rankings (preseason, in-season)
- Schedules
- Top Preseason Players (region/state)
- Team Previews
- Player Spotlight
- Newsletter material
- Scores from across the state
If this sounds like something that may interest you, please send me a PM on here. This is a paid, part-time position.

Also, week 2 is preferred, but week 6 is a possibility.

Gotta give credit to Diboll as the defense was just suffocating the entire night. Hallettsville has been run-heavy all year and was consistently losing yards on first down most of the night.
