1. Based on "crowds" at the Central games, they may be the only 2 fans
2. Nederland made the adjustments at halftime and stopped Vidor's running game for the most part after halftime. PNG won't ever let Vidor get a lead. And I pity them when they take on PAM
3. I didn't lose anything. I'm from PA. Vidor always whines about the officiating...even when they win. Vidor deserved the win (as I said) but the officiating was not the reason that the game was so close. Neumann made adjustments and put the Dogs in a position to win. Kudos to Vidor for the 2 pt conversion.
4. Neumann had his defense figured out after halftime and slowed Vidor's run game enough to come back in the 2nd half. The 2 pt conversion was predictable and well run. Vidor deserved the win based on that one play. They wont be able to keep up with PNG or PAM
5. Vidor barely held on to beat Nederland. Nederland outplayed them in the second half with a QB that hadn't seen the field since week 1. They won't have that luxury with PNG or PAM. They'll have to score on virtually every possession. Just the way I see it. 1. PAM/PNG 3. VIDOR 4. NED
6. Where were they in the first half? I couldn't make the game tonight.
7. not me. I follow Nederland Baseball some, but not avidly. I just heard that the Vidor coach was being hired as a pitching coach.
8. Will Davis has resigned at LSU and is at LU in an unspecified capacity [Hidden Content]
9. It's a business. I'm personally glad to see new blood in the program. Best wishes to JR & SH, but it was time to clean house. The program has fallen behind in so many areas. Will Davis looks to me to be just what the doctor ordered. I'm excited for the first time in several seasons. I just hope that 2016 isn't a complete fiasco with all the distractions.
10. I have all the respect in the world for what Jim has done in the past.  But the past is just that...past.   The program is now, and has been for half a decade,  mired in inferiority.  Recruiting is abysmal, the product on the field is putrid, and I haven't seen anything in years to make me think it's going to get better.   I know Jim loves Lamar Baseball, but he needs to let go.   It's obvious that the administration is waiting on him.  It's past time.
11. It's years past time for Jim to hang it up, but it's obvious that the administration is going to let him hang around as long as HE wants, regardless of what it does to the once proud program.  When is the last time he has put a competitive team on the field?  When is the last time he recruited and landed a difference maker?  Collin Delhomme???   This program is as worn out and as old as Jim is right now.
12. The Ned D has a bad habit of giving up those long runs. It's gonna bite them some day.
13.
There are several reasons why Cross left Lamar PA, none of which were health reasons. This was a mutual agreement but in reality, he left before getting the boot.
Care to be a little more specific?
14. it's a shame that, as well as he did here, and as respected as he was, that he didn't have the class to tell the truth.  I'd like to know what really happened, but I'm sure we will never find out.  I just wish he would have been man enough to be honest.
15. I don't thnk anybody disrespects Gilligan..he has been unbelievably good for the university.  But look at the play on the field.  Is this quality baseball?  Is this what it takes to win?  Who is responsible.  One of two things is happening.  either the players arent coached properly, or we have the wrong players.  Who is responsible for that?  The facilities aren't the best...but they aren't the worst by far.  Kids used to come to Lamar because of Gilligan.  Do they now?  I don't have any inside info...I'm just a long-time season ticket buyer, and I see a program that hasn't taken a step back...it's in full throttle reverse.  And the more we lose, the harder recruiting becomes.  what's the answer.  I don't know...but I don't think more of the same is it.  Just my .02 woirth.
16. I respec EVERYTING Jim has done for LU, but it is time for him to go.  The program is stale.  It's declining.  It's irrelevant.  That's not what the university needs.  The paying fans deserve more.
17. Whichever it is...it's all on Gilligan and the coaches.  They recruit,  they coach.  Nobody wants to go to a losing program...and that's what we have.  The fans will start leaving next ( those of us that haven't already)
18. Can the admimistration see the writing on the wall?  It's time for a change at the top.  Time to clean house.  1-8?  REALLY??
19. Gilligan has his street named after him.  He has his 2000 wins.  He has a failing, declining program.  It's past time for him to retire.  the administration here won't do it.  It's up to him.  I remember when, on April 1st several years ago, he announced on KFDM that he was leaving to be a pitching coach/scout for a Minor league team.  I was shocked and upset, til I remembered it was April Fool's day.  Now I look forward to the announcemnent.  We need a housecleaning.
20. Gillligan is in charge of this entire collapsing program.
