  1. This should be a good one.. any updates?
  2. Hefner had a great all around game tonight. He’s so much better when the guys around him are knocking down shots and tonight they were! Very unselfish player who tries to get his teammates involved. Vidor has a solid team, but Ned played one of their best games of the season tonight.
  3. Awful night offensively for Nederland. Hefner had 4 points, all from the foul line. The Titans did a great job of making Hefner pass the ball and bottling him up all night. He did not attempt but a handful of shots. Ned played a good first quarter and trailed 10-8, but went ice cold the rest of the game. The Titans are very impressive and their size athleticism dominated Ned all night long.
  4. I wish RaiderGirl could have seen the refs in this game. They were horrible on both ends. The worst call was late in the Game PNG got called for a foul. Ned was up 4 points I think. The ref sends the NHS shooter to the line and says “2 shots” before the free throw attempt. NHS player misses the FT and nobody moves because everyone thought it was 2 shots. He realizes at that point he had made a mistake and it should have been a 1 and 1. Instead of re-shooting the free throw or awarding the ball to the possession arrow(NHS), he just awards the ball to PNG with no explanation. PNG goes down and scores a quick basket. Luckily for the Dogs, this and several other really bad calls did not decide the outcome of the game. The refs sprinted to the locker room after the buzzer.
  5. He had 23 and 20 in the two games vs Ozen. He had 15 in the first loss to Central. I am not sure what he had in the 2nd game. Memorial held him to single digits, so there is THAT subpar game, the rest are a stretch though. I’ve said many times, very good player without much help around him and very unselfish. He’s outstanding for a soph. Can’t wait to see him junior and senior year as he matures and hopefully gets more help around him.
  6. I’m looking for someone to build me a house made out of glass... any suggestions, RaiderGirl?
  7. Your boy had 15 points according to PA News. He sat out a lot in the 3rd quarter and 4th quarter. Two other Dogs in double figures according to PA News.
  8. Didn’t Lumberton/Baytown Lee have a much publicized “brawl” a couple years ago in Lumberton? Is this the basketbrawl “class” you speak of that your kids have that NISD kids don’t?” Asking for a friend...
  9. Good road win for the Dogs! Dogs have the inside track to the final playoff spot at the moment.
  10. The only guy you care about had 14 or 15 points LOL. He got hacked quite a bit tonight and had several shots rim out, but the refs were letting them play in a rivalry game.
  11. Sloppy game for the Dogs. Almost gave it away not taking care of the basketball. Other than the 9/0 run to start the game, the Dogs didn’t play well. Gonna have to improve going forward...
  12. I sure hope so, but I’m seeing this game lower scoring and within 10 points. I hope you are right though!
  13. First time in a long time that this game has meant anything... Ned has won an ungodly number in a row vs PNG. Looks like a good matchup this season though. Predictions??
  14. I don’t think any (maybe one) of the supporting cast would start for any of your “Big 3” if that is what you are asking. Not a knock on those kids, if anything it’s a compliment to the Big 3.
  15. He had 20 of his team’s 35. I will say it again. Ned is led by a talented sophomore who doesn’t have a ton of help around him. Good road win for Ozen.
  16. Ned is led by a sophomore that doesn’t have a lot of help around him, but I know you love to hate him. He’s very unselfish and doesn’t force things often. Very solid player, but I think his best days are certainly junior and senior season. His first game vs the “Big 3” wasn’t a very good game for him, but he scored 15 with 6 boards and he was the only one to register on the dunk-o-meter that night. Ned only scored in the 30’s that night. Ned will have a lot of close games and a 3rd or 4th place district finish, but the kid will continue to improve. Hope to see him add some weight in the next 2.5 years though!
