1. Warren returned 9 starters. 11 Seniors. The only common oppenent I am aware of was Hemphill. Elkhart split the series. Warren swept them in district. Warren returned all pitchers, Ekhart graduated Reese (I think that was his name) who was outstanding in the matchup last year.
2. Just pointing out, you said Elkhart was better that C-H (due to a coin flip???) and I said Warren was better than Woodville due to two shut outs (from two different Warren pitchers). I then stated the conclussion, based on the two strongest teams being matched up and the two lesser teams being matched up, that it should be a couple of good series. And your issue is?????
3. Well, Warren is better than Woodville...shut them out twice. So it should be a couple of good series.
4. So you think Elkhart is that much better than C-H.....maybe.
5. Hard to say. Depends how long Torin's arm can hold up. 200+ pitches a week gotta be taking a toll. And depends if Woodville can get any production from the 19 year old on second base....should be close.
6. District 22 Corrigan-Camden Hemphill CH Newton San Augustine Woden Woodville Take out CH and with the exception of a few INDIVIDUAL players, this is a district of also rans....Unless you think Woden, San Augustine and Newton are baseball powerhouses??? Corrigan..fair. Hemphill has wonder boy...not much else. You basically ran up your stats in a weak district. And no, E/C did not make the playoffs or have a winning record, with three All state players. So either the players were over rated or the district they were in was that tough....Woodville is above average, thats it. #7
7.
A,AA,Private: 1. Beaumont Kelly 2. Warren 3. Woodville 4. Kountze 5. Hardin 6. Evadale 7. Big Sandy 8. West Sabine 9. Deweyville 10. Colmesneil
Woodville 3? Other than benefiting from a weak district. What have they done the last couple of years? Other than CH they played a bunch of weak sisters and could have backed into the playoffs. I would put the at 7 tops. Can't see them stand up to a Howell, a D Williams, a Franklin, or even E/C with their three All state players....
8.
Ethan Franklin - Buna Chase Shugart - Bridge City these to guys are the 2 best freshmen in the area
Yeah, they are good but at 17, can you really call the Buna kid a freshman????
9.

Kolton Clark hasn't hardly played at any? He re-injured his arm again. How can I not make up my mind... explain..
1st you say that ethan franklin is the #1 pitcher and now your saying Kolton is the best but hes injured... stats have proved there self Hardin pitcher colby price and walden are the best pitchers in the district... even if that kolton kid was playin he wouldnt be the ace..... because ur judging off of last year he was not the ace he closed jacob clark and walden was...
Where are these Stats??????? Please link or post....As for Kolton, best Varsity pitcher never to have thrown a pitch, period.
10.
We dont sell Frito Pies in our concession stand
You should. They'd be the BEST!!!!!!
11. Whoever Buna puts on the field. Best 1st base, 2nd, 3rd , short, left, right, center, pitcher, bench, waterboy, ambient temperture, ball park, parking lot, restroom, most white bases, straightest base lines, scoreboard, PA system, Frito pie, Nachos....  Fact is we should just close minute made, fire the Astros move the games to Buna and make them the replacements! LOL!!!
12.
High school baseball is most likely going to become one big game of small ball starting next season.
Most likely, at least for a year or two. Now players will actually have to learn to hit the ball. How to go to the plate, assess the job, and place the ball. Having watched several bbcor tournaments and players using them in league play, I am pretty much a fan. The ball still goes over the fence, just no gimmes. If you bemoan the loss of offense or cry about such a small sweet spot but want the added safety of BBCOR, well, lets just start using T-balls. The softer rubber ball will let everyone hit one out an feel like Josh Hamilton and it won't hurt when you get hit.  ;D
13.
are they using BBCOR or -3 in the taso games
They used what ever the kid had.
14. Well., it's Friday....I suppose the game(s) will be played Monday and Tuesday....I guess I'll just hang out at random ball fields looking for the games (probably Lamar, but I've heard nothing official)  and write down the name of all the ball players I see coming and going...I'll post them as a roster on here. But, to keep the spirit of secrecy surrounding the event, I will not, and do not ask me, I will not post ANY scores or other updates.    ;D
15. I predict: Hardin - Just hit repeat from last years bracket. You had a good season.              Buna - You've been living off of the 2008 teams rep for too long.                        Your good and might do better than the last two years of one and out, but two                        brackets is your limit.               Warren - Young, first appearance since sliced bread, but loaded with athletes. If nerves don't                          get 'em and they keep errors down, three or more brackets is very likely.                            I think this team is the closest to the '07 Buna team out there,                          just a year younger as most are Sophmores instead of Juniors.  ;)
16. All teams should do well. Hardin is a one pitcher team. After the lefty, it drops off considerably. But, what they lack in pitching they more than make up for in foul mouth trash talk...
17. Anahuac NEEDS this game. But, on the road, no home field "advantage", Buna got it in the bag.
18. Simply a must win for Kountze. But, unless there has been a big change since the last matchup (9-0 Warren), I see a good game, but Warren walks out a winner. Starting pitching : even. Backup pitching: Warren. Base running: Warren, Fielding: Warren. Hitting : Warren.
19.
Prediction: 1st - Buna 2nd - Hardin 3rd - Warren
Decent picks. Wrong order.
20. Watch baseball much?? Anhuac was in the game due to Warren errors. Warren stayed in the game (dispite any questionable calls) due to solid play and solid hitting. And yes, a win is a win no matter how ugly and Anhuac did win. Anhuac will probably secure 3rd place go to the playoffs and get thier yearly one and done over with. But, I'll call it now, mark it on your callendar, the next TWO years, Warren sweeps Anhuac.
21. Having played against Anhuac in the 80's and watched friends and family compete against them thru the present, The umpires in Anhuac always do seem to support a strong home field advantage. Our coach just preached to take the Umps out of the game. Bad strike zone? Hit the ball. Ect..
22. The pitching edge was slight for Buna, but the Warrior bats just kept beating on the door till they kicked it in. After a shaky first the Warrior "D" put the brakes on Buna. Good job pitching by both Clark and Gray. Great match-up. Hard fought, exciting game. Well played by both teams. Congrats Warriors!!
