I'd add that 1994/95 PA Lincoln team. Remember Stephen Jackson missed 10 games due to grades. I bet they would have been undefeated vs 33-3

Well SHSTiger, lets look at it. My dad was a milatary general and moved from state to state. I went to school in Germnay, Penn., FL, GA, and TX. 4 years was the longest stint we stayed due to all of the family being here. So I guess I have to call somewhere home.

Mike, you are one of the best sportcasters in TX! Keep up the fantastic work. Note sure which station your with now, but I remember you worked at channel 4 last time I was in Beaumont. You are a true asset to all of Southeast TX.

It sure would be nice to see a Silsbee vs HJ finals game. I over half of the arena would be packed down!

I'm in town tonight and will be attending the game in Huntsville. I have worked for Chevron for 8 years. I love to come home every once in a while and visit. State Track Meet vs Silsbee Track Meet. Texas Relays???? I go to it every year. My wife ran for UT from 2000-02. Yes they do have 1000's of fans, but look how many kids it'srepresenting. On average there are over 50 schools there. I see Silsbee has a strong following here. It just bothers me that this town hasn't won a championship in 22 years in a real sport. No one cares about power lifting either. Powerlifting was huge here from like 1990-97. Have they won any more since then? The past is the past.  Can we get some modern day champions and not mention the ones who now have kids playing high school ball. Silsbee had been behind the 8 ball for years. Never get your hopes too high, they will come crashing down. 1995 SHS Girls lost to Cleburne, 1995 boys Lincoln, 1997 Girls lost in state semifinals, 1998-1999 boys second round, 2008 state semifinals, 1986 state seminfinals etc..... No medals guys! Follow Kountze or Ozen if you want to see how a championship is won!  -10 karma doesnt matter. Win a medal and tell me how it feels.

AggiesAReWe I could really care less about Silsbee atheletics to be honest! I support the kids and coaches but you sound like you haven't missed a game in 40+ years of SHS. C'Mon man! I like high school ball but who watches track??? Track????? Almost like saying you have a state champ in UIL Ready Writing or Math. That was 22 years ago. 1 team medal is 40+ years doesnt prove your point. Next time you go to a track meet count on one hand how many people are there. The only time people care about track is during the Olympics.

HJ HAS ALWAYS HAD THE BEST COAHING STAFFS. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHERE THE OTHER TEAM HAS HAD YOU IN TALENT, BUT YOU HAVE MADE UP FOR THAT IN HEART!!!

I would like to see Silsbee win, but they need to be more aggressive. They have played like a 4A school all year long and in the playoffs they have played like a 3rd place 2A team!! I have seen them shoot and rebound better. Hudson will come to play and I hope the Tigers do too! FYI......If I were Williams I would start Gaines over #14 for ball control. Hudson loves to press half and full court!

Neither one of the post for Silsbee are 6"6 or 6"7. Guys get real!! These guys are like 6"5 and 6"4 stretching it! Last big man you had was Eddie Fobbs who was a legit 6"10

On another note, I bet that 90% of the post made here are only opinions. Mine is mine and I stand behind it. Last time I was in SHS I didnt see any o fthe players you mentioned with a jersey retired or ALL STATE acheivments. Not to say they werent great players, but the BEST are the BEST. If you asked me who was better out of Jordan vs Kobe, I'd say Kobe. Met both and have seen both play 15-20 times in person. Kobe is better to me! OPINION ONLY :-*

No I played for Austin LBJ from 1995-97, but my parents and family is from Silsbee. I'm also a 2002 grad of Florida State. Silsbee is one of my alltime favorite towns because of the people there. I went to school here from 1990-93. My question is did you play for Silsbee???????

I'd like to be enlighten if you dont mind. Thats why its a forum right?
