  2. Jeremy is a fantastic talent and I hope does well in West Virgina! Good LUCK!!
  3. 1993 Silsbee Tigers Jay McGuire rushed for 1.976 yds, Stanly Rhone 876 Sedric Spearman 789 and out the door in the 2nd round of the playoffs because Jay got injured vs Jasper last game of the season.
  4. The best I ever saw were Jay McGuire (Silsbee) and Leeland McElroy (Central) . Who makes your short list?
  5. No other school in SETX has the women's basketball background that Silsbee has. Look at LaQuan Stallworth All American(La Tech), Brandi Mccain All American (Florida), Shadi Carter First Team All State (Lamar), Ang Green First Team All State (Lamar), Shondola Lockett All State, Rebecca Barnes All State, etc........... I know they have no titles but 4 trips to Austin isn't bad either!
  6. There is no way 3 Madison players made it and one Tiger and one Hawk!!!!!
  7. 2010/11 Season Silsbee will go 28-8 State Semifinals again HJ will go 24-9 Regional Semi Spurger will go 20-10 bi district champs
  8. Silsbee coaches do just fine! It's funny to sit in the stands and hear 40 people complain about what Travis does as a coach. My question is can you do better???? The job of a head coach isnt just to coach but mold young men and women into productive adults. All of the SeTx coaches did a fine job this year! Great job guys! We enjoyed a heck of a year in basketball!
  9. Love these Yates Fans! When I say die hard fans.....I mean dies hard fans! About 9,000 of them here in Austin to support their kids! Great Job Coach Wise and kids!
  10. Great run Tigers!!! You showed the heart of champions. Keep your heads held high. Seniors, you did a heck of a job this year. Keep up the fantastic work Travis.
  11. Kounter, Herb Sapp jr. was mainly a 3rd string player that Joe Sigler couldnt find time for until Chris Marin, Tirus Elam, and Brian Doss were kicked off for skipping class. Sapp was a good player and had a nice outside shot. He wasnt a start by anyone's standards, but a good roll player. Jackson & Harris use to kill Silsbee down low. I went to see all of those games back in the day. FYI.....I'm just 30 yrs old but my older sister graduated with Darell Macarthur and thats when I begin to watch Tiger bb
  12. Good FT shooting and staying out of foul trouble will help Silsbee! GO TIGERS!!! GO!!
  13. Yates plays at a energy no one in the country can match. I do disagree with coach Wise for pressing when your up by 100 points! Other than this, if you get beat by 100 then you get beat by 100! GO YATES!!!
  14. We need some Silsbee fans in the seats in Austin! I'll be there at 10am and all day Saturday. Got see Yates play Lancaster!
  15. I agree, but Silsbee palyed 6 5A teams that year and beat all of them by 15 or more points. Silsbee just became to confident that year. The most disappointing year was when half the team was kicked off due to skipping school and Silsbee hung in their vs PA Lincoln. The game was played at West Brook High. Lincoln 78 Silsbee 61. I think HErb Sapp jr was the high man with 16 for the Tigers!
  16. What about Donyell "Boo" Allen? He was good too! Personally I enjoyed watching Brian Doss shoot all those 3's! I think he holds the record for 10 in one game back in 1992 in the Houston Smiley Tournament
  17. I personally think Silsbee has the heart of a champion! I expect them to come out swinging and pull it off. Go TIGERS!!!
