She may be strict, but after the game one of her players acted like she was going to do something to our line judge, and one jumped off the bench and said something before the male coach made a fool of himself.

I know this may not compare to to the stress of a varsity game, but when I coach Little Dirbblers and we are in close game (which was pretty often at Nationals). I would never think of saying anything to another player on other team, and by the way I'm going to college to be a coach.  He must have missed the class on showing a little class 101. 

EMC, have you been to all the Orangefield games?  I believe Laura could be the leading killer in the district maybe behind the girl from BC, oh she also led the game in kills!  You can eat your words now.

I wasn't going to bring it up, but I'm glad someone did.  I know in the heat of the moment you do things you might regret, but never take it out on a kid! Wow, and the sad thing is the call he went off on was the RIGHT call! 

And I do recall the girl that was calling lines for HJ, called on that was WAY out  in and the chair ref over ruled her.  Our coches didn't say a word to her.  Very classless and he owes her an apology, for sure!

Orangefield in 4! We played horrible, but we pulled it off!  Good job ladies!!!

Allie Beach from Orangefield has improved lately on her power since they have modified the way they set for her. If she continues to get better she will be something to reckon with next year. So much depends on the setter, though.

I agree she can hit the ball very hard, but sometimes they tend to fly out.  I think with a little more work she'll be the hardest hitter for sure next year.

Won a tournament in Houston, she is now a Champ.  I play with her at least once and week and I honestly believe she will go to state this year!

Anyone know of a Mens Tennis League?

Erin Kelly of Orangefield. I have been playing her a few night out of the week and she is getting better everyday!

Orangefield courts tonight. ANY doubles teams can come or single players. Orangefield JUST got lights out there.

Me and a friend of mine are wanting to start gettin back into tennis, we played in high school at Orangefield, if you wanna play send me a message, we will be at the Birdge City courts tomorrow at 5. 

Just got off the phone with Katie. It is very true, she got a full ride to Sam Houston. 

I thought some of the girls would be prepared for the next step, but I'm not seeing it in Summer League.  I can't wait for the new coach, I have a good feeling he is going to have them ready to go!  I'm picking Orangefield to come out on top. Silsbee and HJ, to round out the top.  Come on ladies, don't make me eat my words. 

Think there is a freshman?!??!?!  I know she can!  The girl is awesome, I enjoy watching and coaching her.  She will help KK a lot this year, and I can't wait!

I'm so proud of these girls!  They played with a lot of heart!  National Bound!!!!

Also joining them in Nationals  will be the major girls they came in 2nd in regionals.

My sister plays volleyball for Orangefield and wants to join a select team this summer besides summer league.  Are there any tryouts coming up in this area?

Dose Nederland, Vinton, or PNG have an All-Star team?  I know Sulphur and DeQuincy had a team when I played.

Thanks, we didn't play well at all.  Hopefully this opened their eyes and they will start playing like they are capable of.

My 13-14 girls have been working hard and I can't wait for them to get some games in.

I disagree. I do think they can make it there, but I do get your point those senior girls that have been playing together since they were very young and played little dribblers and AAU together, so I don't give all the credit to Coach A either.  I think she did a good job, but I think anyone could have coached this years team and come out like they did. 

I want to get a girls 14u team started  for my sister where can I go to join something?  like is there a web site?

Who said there isnt enough talent around here, I guess Rice and U of H thought there was.  The Kirbyville girl is playing at Kilgore where 05 grad of Orangefield Kirby Myers is playing at now.  Brittany James of WOS went somewhere just not excatly sure where. Thats 3 girls so far who graduated this year. Then you have Sanders and the 2 lumberton girls?  Telling me they can't compete?  Maybe I just have a lot of faith in the girls around here.
