HF v Buna, (high expectations)
Franchiseball replied to ScienceTeacher's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
No grudge at all Buna isn't worthy of 3A competition. I can't believe the big 3A schools would even schedule Buna must be getting some easy victories before district starts -
Well everyone in 3a consider Buna the worst team next year and maybe when you pitch your worst pitcher against us we will luck out and win a game. Just maybe though
-
That's why they play the game you never know what's gonna happen. If Buna doesn't start playing defense it won't matter who pitches you can't win baseball games making errors that's for sure.
-
Buna will only be in 3A for 2 years.....I wasn't at the game but I heard HF was getting no hit by a freshmen thru 6 ...... Buna only losing 3 and have several long kids playing now only going to get better.

Silsbee vs. Buna Game Thread/Silsbee wins 6-3!

Joke message me and let me know what was so bad they took it off.... mack none of the mentioned before are my son ( he isnt worthy of the greatness of this board) jk just speaking up for one of my boys. Did he do as good as he wanted probaly not but not bad at all got put in a sticky place and came out all right.Walden and Big E both looked pretty good for the first game. Buna can get better for sure at the plate and if we do we could be very dangerous -

I'm pretty sure Clark struck out 2 and only gave up 1 hit. So you may want to retract that statement. not bad for first time under the lights -
I'm pretty sure no newcomer's dad from Buna said anything about hype. I'm pretty sure I'm the only newcomer dad that post on here. This is just me assuming but I think we all want Buna to do great. I could careless if my son is on varsity or not I'm just glad he chose to be out there but, I'm going to cheer for the varsity no matter what. Don't you think for one second I dont want Buna to do great in everything from football to table tennis if I didn't care about the school I wouldn't be working my butt off for the booster club. Go Coogs.

I fully agree with the statement about JM. He is a great ball player and I could see him playing college ball for sure. Several kids on this team I could see playing college ball if they decide to put the effort in to do that and keep their heads on straight. Thanks for the support guys

Dont they play Monday night?

Well I'm Chad Shepherd nice to meet you. All I said was it was time to see if they were myths or legends. So I didn't respect anyone or praise anyone kinda like the old saying "time to put up or shutup" and if you"ll notice I put that on here after the basketball boys lost out last night meaning its time to see how good they really are. Thanks Mr. Walden

I might have seen a game or 2 and no I'm not a kid.
-
Well I guess it's time to see if their myths or legends.

I'm from Buna and one of the Franchise boys is my son and if we are counting on them to help a lot we are in trouble.... Franklin throws hard enough and is plenty strong enough to hit with power already. The upper classmen better step up. If any team is expecting freshmen to carry the load they are in trouble.

*WARREN @ BUNA Broadcast*/BUNA WINS 48-37!
Franchiseball replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Sure hope the coogs pull it out would like another shot at Hardin -
Buna will be young this year. They only have 3 seniors and a good real junior is hurt and another one is not playing that would have helped. So the streak could be in jeopardy but that's why they play the games never know what's gonna happen.

Buna gets their big back this week. Game is gonna depend on how rusty he is. What players for Kountze didn't play the first time?

Top 5 Dunkers in Your Schools History
Franchiseball replied to BADSANTA's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Emmanuel Thornton was the other kid from west orange. I seen him in a game standing under the goal flat footed and catch a ally 2 hands and dunk. He was about 5'10" -
Being left out is I believe maybe the best dunker is Southeast Texas basketball history. One Norris "Scoobie" McGee from West Orange Stark. He was a football player but this guy could flat out fly!
. He is the greatest dunker to ever come from this area for sure -
Let's just call him GOD from now on. I wasn't bashing the kid or if you took it that way I apologize. I said he didn't hustle all the time . Just like always people took it as a negative statement I also said he was the best player in the area. I have no envy for him hope my kid gets to that point where Shawn is.

Thoughts on Silsbee/HJ part 2
Franchiseball replied to Dick Vitale's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I thought the refs last night were the best I had seen all year. If you pressure the ball the whole game your gonna foul. I don't remember either coach just hammering the refs at any point. Dickie V very good post.
