what caught my eye was the proposal to allow 6th grade at the 1A level?? Am i correct to assume they already allow 7th and 8th grade to participate? If am misinterpreting this, please let me know.

correct, didn't get the memo on Reagan and not really concerned about Reagan. Growing up in SE Texas, everyone knows HJ is not a football school and the expectations to win a state title are not realistic. To say HJ will win a state championship in Football is to say BH will win a state championship in basketball. HJ is a basketball school and BH is a football school. I like the hire and would like to believe HJ will win some football games and compete. But i am also not going to ask to fire the coach if they go 500 or better, go a couple of rounds in the playoffs and never make it to the regional quarterfinals. I would pleasantly surprised if that happened, but not screaming for his head if it did not. Of course every coach/team starts the year with the state title as the goal, but you have crawl before you walk.

Not to break hearts, but HJ will never win a state title in football. I would love to see them with a winning record. HJ had a good run a few years back, but HJ has never been known for their football dominance. Lets start with a winning season and some playoff games. But State??? He doesn't have to win State to be considered a winner in Sour Lake.

If they followed the game plane to a T, than mission accomplished. No disrespect meant. I just didn’t like seeing the layups and what appeared to be the lack of help D. on to SA and Canyon!! Let’s see what SA thinks of The Lake Show.

FT’s hurt us tonight but I was really disappointed in the defense. Gave up a lot of lay ups. It didn’t look like they did a good job with help defense. Like the aggressive drive to the hole offense.

REBOUNDING!!! HJ has to do a better job on the boards. They weren't hitting the 3s like they normally do either. I will stick with HJ.

i was thinking about going to watch, about 45 minutes away, but will stay home and watch the HJ game.
