Well said. That group was a joy to be associated with and it was extremely unfortunate how it ended up. All of the girls deserve better and I hope they succeed in whatever they do. With that said it's entirely useless to harbor animosity about that or any softball situation for that matter. We need to keep in perspective that it's about the kids. They are why we get involved initially and every decision should be for the good of the team. You'll never make everyone happy but that's with any group or organization.

I agree tappedout. Wade and Cody's team is doing well. I was only trying to make a point about age grouping. It's tough in our area when there are so many teams relative to the number of players. It seems better in my opinion to build a program vs. a team for a season. But that is much easier said than done.

I thought this team was primarily a 2001 team. If you pick up girls with a 2000 birthday, will they be able to stay with the team or will they be forced to find another team to play with after only the spring season?

These girls played their hearts out this weekend in the grueling heat. They finished Saturday undefeated, and came out Sunday morning and continued to battle. Stayed in the winners bracket for one more game and then I think the heat got the best of them. All in all they played outstanding. Each and every girl left it on the field. Thanks to the Fury teams for a Great tournament!!
