1.
is it possible to have a PN-G vs Brenham rematch this year if the Indians get things straight and make the playoffs or do you think they will go Div II
For it to happen, PNG has to go D2.
 2.
Bears 21-7 Defense comes up big, one score is on a long touchdown pass because the Bears keep 8-9 in the box all night.
:o :D We won't be under 7.
 3.
You did lose Reese though, while Montgomery returns 3 of 4 DBs (the new DB is playing better than the one last year). So that essentially negates the addition of moore. Crosby kept Dobbins out of the endzone last year, how did that workout this year? Bolfing's INT was against Huntsville off a tipped pass by the way. And he completed 11 of 16 last year. Goodwin will not be against Hubert, he will be covered by either an OLB or a Safety because their TE's lineup in the slot. Brown is outstanding and will draw a double team, and Cole will probably be blocked by Dobbins who is one the best pass-blocking RBs in the state if you watch his film.
Good post...  Sorry if I was wrong about the int.  We lost Reese And Hall, not Smith.  Smith is a WR. Were not Crosby though...  Crosby gave up 50+ didn't they?  No way that happens to us.
 4.
Reasons why Montgomery will win: a. Both offenses were limited to 1 TD last year, the deciding TD was a fumbled pitch due to a miscommunication in the O line. Montgomery has discovered new weapons this year (Alex Peppe, Tevin House), so they could help give more production for the Montgomery offense than they had last year. b. Both defenses are outstanding. The Montgomery secondary can keep their passing game in check, so most of Brenham's offense will have to come from Troy Green and Schlottman scrambling. And if this game comes down to a battle of rushing, Dobbins and Montgomery win that battle. c. Montgomery TE Josh Goodwin will have a big game. If Brenham is going to slow Dobbins, they are going to stack the box. That gives matchup issues in the passing game with a tall Goodwin. d. Last year, Schlottman was able to scramble when the yards were needed. Montgomery has proven they can stop dual threat QBs against Crosby and Spring. This is undoubtedly the biggest game in Montgomery Football History, so the fury that the Bears will play with along with factors listed above, I just see Montgomery edging them out.
A. Tremund Moore is a new weapon for us too.  B. Dobbins got 200+ yards against us last year, but how did that work out...  (Only 1 TD) Dobbins will get his yards, just got to keep him out of the end zone again. C. Bolfing threw 1 int last year, guess who it was against... (don't think he completed a pass) D. Match up problems?  That WR will be up against a D1 CB (Rodney Hubert) E. Bolfing won't have much time to throw.  4 star LB Tim Cole and 4 star DT Malcolm Brown (both only juniors) will see to it.
Montgomery 21 Brenham 17 Montgomery scores first, but Brenham answers on the following drive. 7-7 at end of 1Q. Defenses hold in 2Q until Brenham kicks FG to end Half. 10-7 at half. Montgomery scores TD in 3Q. 14-10 at end of 3Q. Montgomery scores early in 4Q, but Brenham begins to mount comeback by scoring TD with 1:00 left, Montgomery recovers onside kick and runs out clock. Don't be surprised if Montgomery wins Region 3 in D1 and Brenham wins Region 3 in D2.
I agree with the last part, but I don't think Brenham loses this one.  Brenham hasnt lost to Montgomery in over a decade, if I remember correctly.  No doubt, this is their best chance, but there's also alot going against them.  It's in Brenham again this year, and Montgomery's 2 best players are coming off injuries.  Both should be 100%, but you never know.  Brenham also has alot more experience in big games and close games.  I'm not saying it's impossible, but it won't be easy to walk out of Cub Stadium with our district title.
 6.
BrenhamFan, what you spotting GCM 3 points for? They will probably not even smell the endzone let alone kick a 50 yard field goal.  :D ;D Just Sayin.......
You never know, one person misses an assignment or something.  It could happen.
 7.

Dobbins should be ok, (2nd game back) but i'm not sure how bad Bolfing's injury was.  Come on Friday, hurry up!
what happened to bolfing?
I heard he got hurt last night in the 1st quarter, but played through it.  (He limped the rest of the game.) I think it's a deep bruise to his thigh, if I remember correctly.
 8. Dobbins should be ok, (2nd game back) but i'm not sure how bad Bolfing's injury was.  Come on Friday, hurry up!
 9.
Cinco in trouble
They always are.
 10. :o #3, #9, #10 & #15, are all from 17-4A...
 11.
Gonna make this one and thanks for the info.
No problem.  If your opposed to sitting on wooden bleachers, you'll have to sit on the Brenham side.  Lol. On the bright side, we got some new carpet and a new scoreboard at the stadium.
 12.
Brenham fan- Interesting question- Why does Brenham have home game again this year? Is it because of the district                     realignment? This was such a key game and Montgomery sure would have liked to have this one at home.
Ya, you can thank uil.  Every district game that was a home game for us last year, is home this year...  Every district game that was away last year, is away again. They did screw the Bears on that.
 13.

Go Alpha Omega!!!  I want them to atleast score this season...
Well, BF.  That first score will have to come next week.  Final, Beaumont Legacy 38, Huntsville Alpha Omega 0. Thanks to Jon Cregor, AD at Legacy, for getting this score to me.
Well on the bright side, the defense is looking better I guess.  Fewest points they've allowed, right?
 14.
Where they playing?
In Brenham.  If you can't make it and want to listen to the game online, it starts at 7:30 on KWHI.com If you do decide to come, get here early, cuz Cub Stadium is tiny. It seats 6,000 and 1/3 of the visitors side is used for home fans.  Then another 1/3, for the visiting band. (depending how big the band is)
 15. Go Alpha Omega!!!  I want them to atleast score this season...
 16.

Montgomery 21 Brenham 14 Montgomery better bring their A game. A homer pick but you stick with your boys win or lose.
I dont know about  a homer but Paul N the MLB is friends of the family. Why should they bring their "A" game? Have not seen either team play this year. Bears were pretty good last year.
Cuz Brenham's defense is really good.  They only give up 97 ypg and 3.6 ppg.  It will be close, but I don't think Montgomery can trail by more than 7 at any point, if they want to win.  This will be one of the best games of the year, if both teams play to their potential.
 17. Winner of this game, will win 17-4A. Montgomery 17 Brenham 24
 18. Dayton looks like the team I expected them to be.  They remind me alot of us.  (same style)
 19. I was stating that because the comment was made about Dayton being the best team east of Houston.  Just commenting that El Campo looks legit this year.  (even if they arnt east)
 20. I've been really impressed with El Campo.  (even though they are south of Houston)
 21. Magnolia West 48 Northbrook 7
 22. Stratford 28 Magnolia 7
 23.
I think Dobbins will be fine, Bolfing is more important because if he can't throw some Brenham will stack the box. Dobbins will get his,  I have never been to a game he doesn't. Bolfing and the play of the Montgomery D is the keys to the game. Dobbins has that extra speed and vision that make him special. Everyone is playing injured at this point a little bit. How you handle it separates the men from the boys.
I agree.  How many offensive yards did each team have?
 24.
:o :o :o This district is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know... This district is killing my pickEm'.    ::)
