1. Another form Vidor, Shawn O'bannion 05 - Galveston College, Texas Tech.  Now coaching at Orangefield.
2. Hunter pitched a great game.  12K's, 3 walks, 2 hits on a complete game.
3. For all of you so called coaches out there, I’m sure that you can fill out an application for employment at any of the area schools.  What the AD and Head Baseball Coach would want to see is your name, your credentials and what makes you so dammed qualified to coach. I bet they would give you a one on one interview…….
4. Does everyone remember the game last year at Vidor? There was a play at second base that Vidor fans thought was a terrible call. The aftermath of the call was a coach getting ejected, Green getting confined to the dugout, the announcer being bashed by the Nederland fans and the guy working the clock being censored by the district.  Well the tables are turned, the police had to escort the umpires off the field last night because several Nederland fans threading the home plate umpire and a guy who we all know has a player on the Nederland team telling the home plate umpire that he was going to wait for him in the parking lot. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE OVER HOW SOME OF THE NEDERLAND FAN ACTED LAST NIGHT?
5.
Anybody have a score on the Jasper game?
Bottom 3rd. Jasper 10 Ozen 0
6. From what I just heard, some school board members instructed the Superintendent to cancel the games with Vidor.  They told the Superintendent that they did not feel safe going to Vidor. More to come….
7. Vidor rushes for 415 yards in win over Kelly By JARED AINSWORTH Beumont Enterprise August 28, 2009 Posted: August 28, 2009, 11:43 PM CDT Last updated: August 28, 2009, 11:51 PM CDT If the Vidor football team was looking to use its experience in mastering the Wing-T offense on Friday, it accomplished just that. In Friday's season opener at Kelly, the Pirates amassed 415 rushing yards on 54 carries en route to a 42-21 victory over Kelly. Jacob Peevey totaled 185 yards on 18 carries while Shane Pittman added 20 carries for 103 yards and Kevin Tate rushed for 90 yards on 12 attempts. The Pirates, who return 19 starters from last season, found success running the ball early Friday. Peevey notched a 75-yard touchdown run on Vidor's first play from scrimmage with 8:04 left in the first quarter. Peevey's TD made it 7-7 early following an opening-drive 22-yard TD reception by Kelly's Ben Peyton from Dakota Eddins. Peevey scored his second TD of the night with 6:26 remaining in the second quarter on a 12-yard scamper that gave Vidor a 14-7 advantage. Kelly tied the contest at 14 when Patrick Cook plunged in for a 6-yard run with 2:07 left in the second quarter, but a 31-yard run by Vidor running back Kevin Tate with 22 seconds remaining in the half gave the Pirates a 20-14 lead they never relinquished. Vidor quarterback Nick Dozhier finished with 2-of-3 passing for 16 yards. Eddins led the Bulldogs with 115 passing yards on 11-of-23 attempts. Kelly running back Tyler Palermo had 32 yards on eight carries for the Bulldogs. Vidor, which finished last season with a 5-4 record, will play at Houston St. Thomas next Friday while Kelly will play host to Hitchcock.
8. I was so impressed with the adults and students from Kelly, all night long they were singing F*** YOU VIDOR. What a christian atmosphere they have at Kelly.
9. Maybe they will play at Little Cypress or Vidor.
10. I like you Soulja1, your funny. Be somebody "move to Vidor"
11. ;D ;D ;D ;D But, it's Bush's fault ;D ;D ;D ;D
12. Cameron Perkins, formerly of Vidor, is now living in Southport, Indiana and going to Southport High School where he was named player of the year in baseball. In 2008: Hit a state season-record .723 (60-for-83) in leading the Cardinals (14-15) to their first Marion County Tournament championship in 19 years and their second sectional crown over 13 seasons. Along the way, the 6-5, 190-pound junior third baseman who moved last summer from Vidor, Texas, had 20 doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 56 RBIs, 37 runs and 19 stolen bases. He has drawn interest from multiple NCAA Division I baseball programs as well as scouts from the New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers. Q: You played two seasons in Texas, which is known for good baseball. How does baseball in Indiana compare to that in Texas? A: It's pretty much the same except you get started a lot later. In Texas, you can start in early February. Once that was rolling around, I was eager to be outside. You can still get a little bit of work done inside. Besides that, the competition is pretty much the same. There are good players anywhere you go. Q: When you're at the plate, what allows you to hit the way you do? A: I just try to get on one early. That way I can hit a good pitch instead of trying to fight off a pitch with two strikes. And I try to just hit it where it's pitched. If they throw it outside, I go with it. I don't try to do too much with the stick. I just let it do its job. Q: People talk about being able to see the seams on the ball. Do you see details like that? A: There always are tips of pitches. Some pitchers tip their pitches with like a dig in the glove or something like that. But mostly, I react to the ball. I try to sit on one pitch and if it changes, I let it go or react to it. Q: If you were to be chosen in the 2009 baseball draft, is there a figure where you might have to take the money and use it to pay for college? A: Eventually I'd like to (play professionally), but that's not really my goal right now. Right now, my goal is get into a good college and get a good education. If (getting drafted and a big contract) comes along, you can't really pass it up. But that's not really on my mind right now. Q: Some people here have said you are as good or better than anyone they've seen. What do you think when you hear those comments? A: I don't really know about that; they must not have seen a lot of baseball players. (Laughs.) I mean, I have my good games and I had a good season. But it helped coming in unknown, not many people knowing about me. But as far as "best player," I wouldn't go that far. The above article was from Indianapolis Star website Congratulations Cameron! 13. Let's have some fun,,,, Kyle Green @ HF.....
14. The powers to be at Vidor will not release Green from his contract, it's signed and in the book......lol
15. The school board and super handle reassignments, hiring and firings. Not the AD. Wrong,,, The School Board only acts on recommendations from the superintendent. Every heard of co-management.
16. Don't forget, Green gets just about anything he wants at Vidor. The entire School Board likes him and he has a very good friend on the board. ;D
