Can't find much on Denny . I did find that that we was 250-98 while coaching a Kingwood. Also check out his stats at UT when he played.

Didn't know he played for Texas. Not to shabby of stats by the man.

I agree with an earlier poster who said BH doesn't need to be over confident with this team. If they come out cocky, bad things will happen for the hill and good things for the bears. If BH plays ball like they have all season, good things will continue at the hill.
No chance of BH coming out over confident or looking ahead. Coach Denny is too good of a coach to allow that to happen.
    BH takes this in two.

Can be one of the best coaches in the state, but you can coach mental preparation for playoff games. Playoff games separate the men from the boys. LCM in two.

Plus Griff is an amazing coach himself.
I agree Griff is also one of the best around. My response was entirely directed at BH being over confident or looking ahead. Don't think a #4 seed playing the #1 team in state will be over confident. I do think that BH does not want this to go three games with the last two at LCM. Another poster asked how many wins will be on the field btw the two coaches...I hope someone answers this..it has to be up there.
I bet the answer is somewhere around 900 or a 1000.  I will look at our 2013 Baseball Program and get the answer to our half of that question. It is on the inside of the front cover of that program. Gonna need help from BH folks for the other half.

I did some digging and found that in the 20 years that Coach Griff has been at LCM he has led them to 490 wins. Ball's in your court BH to find info on your man.

He has a State Title on his resume already with Kingwood, so I think he may know how to coach the mental and physical part of this game :)
And whats to say it wasn't the players that were mentally ready to play?? Griff has taken a team to the State title game.

I just got an email that tonight's win by lumberton ended a 34 consecutive loss streak to the bears dating back to the 1900's.  Is that true? or a hoax? Can anybody tell me what was the last time that lumberton beat them?
I remember hearing something about like that before, but i can't tell you if its true or not though. I know it has been awhile but 34 is a lot of games.

How are you counting the tie against Deer park this past weekend for LCM? A win or a loss? JW

UNC is currently pounding my ags. I haven't figured out what is wrong with our pitching staff. We do well against number 13 rice and show up today against number 1 UNC and its like Batting practice.
Could explain whay UNC is #1 and Rice is #13.  It's not rocket science. 8)
Yea yea i know. I was at least expecting a tighter game than 14-2. That's just plain ugly.

    I think 28 years ago.  :-\

We have a new HC, and some restless fans.  Our pitching is down (except for one guy), and we need the bats to heat up.  3-6 is not acceptable.....
Who is the new HC?
Lanny Williams. He was an assistant under Jim Long for like 16 years.
Ah thanks.
