I just read all of the comments since my last post.  First of all, I was stating the facts. I'm not being a cry baby when I'm admitting our mistakes lost us the game.  Vidor took advantage of our miscues and that is why they won. They scored 14 points (remember this is an offense that was averaging close to 50 points per game).  One of the tds came from our fumble on our end of the field. Yes, we lost but how can you say we did not shut down this "high powered offense"?  It will probably be their lowest total of the season.  Our defense played their hearts out.  Nobody can deny that.  I think all you Vidorians are sore winners.  This game is over it's time to move on.  Yall need to worry about Ozen now and we will get back to work and focus on Central.  And to the guy who said he lost respect for Lumberton followers after reading all of this.  Go back and read some of the stuff your fellow pirates wrote.  All of their comments have only shown to us why Vidor has the reputation that it has.

I have seen plenty of comment on here from "VIDORIAN" saying that Lumberton's Defense played well and it was a tough game. And the Coach for vidor even said it himself that it was a lucky win for us.. so sore winners i think not! i do believe you said that the game was given to vidor..and all we are saying is It was not completely given to us! Vidor has come a long way..and we don't need people like you trying to ruin that for us!

The parking at Vidor is worse.  Give me a break. As far as the game goes we lost the game because of our mistakes.  All the penalties, that one big fumble, and of course the missed field goals. We gave you that game.  I would not be surprised if yall lose another game or two in district.  Your defense needs a lot of work and you can't win district just being a one dimensional team.  Other teams will take advantage of this.

Defenses cause fumbles, kickers miss fieldgoals because of defensive pressure sometimes.  thats part of football.  Learn how to lose gracefully with class.  I wouldn't be surprised if any team in this district loses a couple of games.  Evidently Lumberton's D needs a little work.  

Whats Vidor's all time record against Lumberton? 

every team needs a little work! vidor didn't play the best last night! we were lucky that we won! both teams were sloppy! and if vidor had lost  i gurantee all of us vidor fans would be making excuses for why we lost. everybody does that because they want to win and are angry that they didn't so they find somone else to blame. yes we beat lumberton but there is no reason to pick on them now! what's done is done

Then we need to spend our money better seeing how we had more penalties called on us than ya'll did.

And can we set the record straight on exactly WHY the flag was picked up against Lumberton?

Wasn't it because, before 10 yards you can't chop but after 10 you can...and it was after 10 yards...so the flag should NOT have been thrown in the first place?

like a few of us have been saying! it's over now it doesn't matter. we can't what if! iwhat if yall had won would you even mention ref calls then prob not.the refs do the best they can at calling a game! but like said doesnt really matter now anyways. so let's move on and get ready for next weeks game! ok

Its stupid to argue over "ifs" and "buts" the fact is the score was Vidor 14 to Lumberton 11.  If "ifs" could win games Vidor would be 2-0 in district.

the game is over and vidor won that's that. both teams played sloppy last night and we have to admit that. regardless we will can't ask ourselves WHAT IF the game had went this way would the Raider have wont? Truth is we will never know! The game wasn't a total give away and you know it! Both teams did great. And as for who has the better parking. who cares! I mean really! It's  stupid to argue over parking. 

Way to go Vidor Pirates! Lumberton you have good defensive line. I was on the edge of my toes the entire first half! Good game guys!

The game of the week should be based upon the difficulty and excitment of the game. All in all in really doesn't matter. The Vidor and Lumberton game is going to be a close call. I am personally nervous for Vidor because i want them to win but who knows wht will happen. Vidor has waited so long to make it to the play-offs and this is the year for them to shine. I want vidor to win. But i say Good Luck and may the best team win!
